Hi all,

Does anyone have good recommendations for bridal package for actual day without the photoshoot? (Day and Night gowns, coats, flowers for car and bride, corsages)

I had signed up with a taiwan bridal and i am checking out the cost if i should rent their gowns (i have to pay air freight also) or should i rent gowns (take a package) in singapore for my actual day.

Thanks

hi kathleen, there are a few boutiques which offer bridal package without the photoshoot, i have occasionally come across. most do not put their wedding packages online, so you will have to read reviews at the wedding packages section then choose a good bridal studio and call them from there. it also depends on what's yr gown style you like. if you like more princessy kind of designs, taiwan is better. local designs tend to be more elegant and modern kind, that's what i feel.

i think actual day package without photoshoot should be between $1.5k - $3k depending on the kind of gown you choose. (since you need day and night gowns) there are many designer gowns that cost above $3k themselves, so if you go for those kind, your budget can easily go over. depends on the kind of gown you want. :) the most basic package i have ever seen without photography for 1 gown only with flowers and corsages etc is $1k. hope this helps, from my bridal hunting experience hehe. :D

hi kathleen I am also looking for wat you looking at as I also signed up with taiwan bridal to take overseas photot.

I would like to share some consideration with you on having to rent gowns from taiwan side.

1. what if you need alteration when your wedding day gets nearer.
2. what about those accessories to go with your gown
3. any additional cost to be incurred due to the number of days taken to courier it back and forth

above are a few consideration I have.

As per honeydew, I totally agree with her on the different style between Taiwan and Singapore.

I have been searching on the web also come across wedding gown from USA they are selling like USD100+ onwards (not including freight charges) and their design also looks very different from asia side. Please note that it is selling tat means you can keep it after your wedding with that price you pay for.

Hope this helps.

I have also went to see a few local packages for actual day only and their price is like averagly 2.5k

hi Tenshi! :) wedding gowns from USA are also an alternative, but for myself, i don't really dare to buy from there because the size, color and other things can be different from the pictures haha. Bad online shopping experiences make me willing to pay more for local gowns where i can try on and see if look good in it, then if need alteration can ask them to alter. what you see in pictures can be very different when they arrive haha, plus it may look good on model but don't suit you when wearing it. it's cheaper but will be vexing if it arrives and not up to expectation. hope this helps u kathleen! :)

Hi tenshi,

thanks. i had all those considerations thats why if i can, without bursting my budget, i will want to have a day package local.. so that i can have the gown amended if required nearer the date and the collecting and returning with coats are much easier.

may i know you signed up with which bridal?

any recommendation for any BS that has wedding gown full of lace or european style?

in my opinion, Di Gio bridal, Silhouette The Atelier, Divine Couture, La Belle Couture and Le Grand wedding are a few i know which have european kind of gowns. it's becoming quite a trend these days, so shouldn't be hard to find in most boutiques. :)

hey kathleen, then it seems that you prefer the princessy kind of gowns? because i find taiwan gown style is mostly like that haha. if you like those kind, then My Dream Wedding and Cang Ai bridal are more suitable for you if you want to get AD gowns in Singapore. :)

my AD is in 2012, probably in September as trying to see if hotels have my date. :)

ooh what do you mean because of your height? tall or short? :) i thought princessy looks good on all heights haha.

i'm considering between Di Gio bridal, Silhouette The Atelier, Divine Couture, La Belle Couture for their elegant looking gowns, my style is more towards that kind hehe. :D

yeah.. princessy looks look good on all heights.. i cant wear empire cut also..

haha i'm short too. :D i have a feeling that i may have to go with princessy style instead because the european/ball gown/elegant kind of cuts are more suited for taller ladies haha. unless i manage to find an elegant kind which looks good on my height, i'm only 160cm LOL!

I have yet to sign up with any BS yet as I have yet to find a studio that has design close to what I want and at the same time the cost is also one of the factor. My AD will be next year so still have time to look around

icic.. i think 1year is more than enough for you to prepare.. so you can sign up with a BS when you are very comfortable with..
