if you want to add "oomp" to the top, go for more ruffles around the chest, and avoid heart-shaped or M-cuts.

To add volume to the bottom, go for princessy gowns or those with big ball gowns. In general, ball gowns are flattering for all body shapes and sizes. Avoid mermaid cuts unless if you have the curves and figure to show.

there are all sorts of gowns to hide various flaws that you don't like, and emphasize great features you have. every bride is a pretty bride

im a skinny bride also. i think princessy style of gowns will help, because of the frills and chiffon details. i have switched my dress style to more taiwan kind of clothes because i find that they help me look less skinny. i believe that would apply for my wedding gown as well. you can try taiwan style wedding dresses and see if they look better on you.

    rojak: what are Mcuts?
i've always dreamt of flowy grecian-inspired dresses but looks like i have no curves to carry it off, so maybe not! =/

carlise: sure, i will google 'taiwan style gowns' for some inspiration. thanks!

mintyrose: M cut.. i mean those gowns with the heart shaped top.. instead of a straight line across the chest as in tube, it's "M" shaped..

Yeah i think grecian-inspired dresses are not too suitable for skinny girls.. you'll still look fantastic with other gowns, not to worry! if you really want, you can add a grecian-styled gown for your photoshoot.

Oh. So that's what M-cuts are. I see.. I better avoid those then. =)
Sadness, cannot wear grecian kind. Okay i shall try on some and see if there's any suitable for the PS.
    Thanks rojak!

i think a mermaid cut gown can emphasize you slim figure while still looking curvy and not too thin.

go for gowns that would accentuate your curves even though you're skinny.

I think ball gowns or princess style gowns work well with slim or skinny brides. It accentuates the hips area.

Hourglass shaped gowns are also good to accentuate your figure.
