yah too many things to consider in a wedding so better to just find out what the standard practice is and do it! less headache that way.

actually this is always the dilemma. you want to appreciate those that have helped you right? And to share the joy together. Just remember, when u're giving angbaos to ur bros, they should also give angbaos to u as a groom right?

i guess it depends on what your brothers / sisters / helpers are doing for ur wedding. i give according to how much work and time they need to invest in my wedding. some of my bridesmaids are doing alot more, so i am giving them additional angbaos oin top of the gatecrash. today angbao money prepared (for helpers, tea ceremony) etc will be ~3-4k. so if many helpers doing small jobs each, then small angbao each. if only a few pple managing everything big and small, then they will get bigger portions of the cake.

It is just a token sum of appreciation for their help. Just give within your means, and as long as you're happy, they'll be happy for you too. After all, it is YOUR BIG DAY!

i guess ultimately it all depends on your budget. i'm sure usually the bros or jiemeis don't expect anything in return

i think ultimately whatever amount you give.. your bros or sisters who attend yr wedding will give it back to you in the form of an ang bao..
