Any advice on program for wedding buffet dinner?
Been trying to figure out the sequence of events during the buffet like march in, cut cake speech and interaction with guests. Don't know where to start...

Hi Rachel, do u hav a wedding planner helping u for this?
There's always room for personal preference also, but for me I will plan it this way:
Guests seated
March in with gown 1
Cut cake
Speeches (Bestman, Bridesmaid, sisters)
March in with gown 2
Special item(s)
A toast (if you want)
Photo-taking
Not sure if i missed anything out, but offhand, this is what i can gather.

Hi Celine,
Thanks for the advice. I do not have a wedding planner, hence planning all by ourselves.
Just worried about the organizing of sequence after 1st march in and if buffet guests will tend to eat fast and go off early. How to arrange everyone to sit down while doing second march in or maybe I should just drop that idea of 2nd march in...... Worry worry...

The emcee can make an annoucment to get everyone back to their seats.. Brothers & sisters can also help to guide the guest back. 2nd march in is still good to have! =)

Yes, i agree with marshmallowmelts. Its always nice to have the second march-in. Don't worry about the guests leaving or sitting down, i'm sure you can make arrangements with the emcee or those helping you with program. Just discuss it through with them. I'm sure everything will turn out fine, don't worry!

Thanks gals, I will talk to my emcees and discuss with them on the program. Will do the second march in...planning planning so many things to do...

I attended a friend's wedding lunch last year.
Roughly like this for her:
Guests starts coming in from 2.30pm onwards.
Cocktail reception
Showing of photo montage
Guests to be sitted down around 3.15pm
March in and ceremony starts around 3.30pm
Lunch buffet starts at 5pm
No 2nd march in
Photo taking will be during later part of the lunch or after.
Most guests waited till the end....

My friends and family wrote some speeches for us and recited it during the toast.
