A cocktail reception, is it possible?

has anyone attended a wedding with a cocktail style reception?
Im thinking of not having a lunch or dinner banquet. I just want a cocktail reception, is it okay to have my wedding reception at around 4-5pm? so I can serve cocktail banquet instead of full-meal banquet..

any thoughts on this? or has anyone here had cocktail reception or has attended to one?

yes i hink you can do that. its quite untraditional though since most couples go for full-meal banquets instead of cocktail.

Yeah I don't see any problem with that.

It's a very modern take~ but if your guests get hungry after the ceremony, you might have an issue?

I think a full-meal banquet is necessary if your wedding ceremony takes too long. You wouldn't want your invited guests to starve!
