Confused Cost of Resale Flats in the Eastern Part

I am thinking of buying a 3 room or 4 room flat in Eastern areas like Pasir Ris, Tampines, Bedok or Simei. My parents live in Tampines but it seems like the prices of the resale flats has escalated to quite abitI want a big kitchen so BTO is out for me

What is the average COV anybody can advice? My budget is only $20-$25k max. Getting married in Decemeber. Hope to be able to move in before I marry.

Hi yesu_kitty, actually BTO is quite good especially for the east as not as many people will be bidding for it, so chances of you being able to get a unit is higher. You can actually knock down the partition walls between a room/living room and the kitchen to get a bigger kitchen.

But since you will want to move in before getting married, i guess resale is the only option. With your COV budget you should have quite a few choices in the east. Have you gone viewing for your potential house?

I think stuff like hacking down the walls requires approval from HDB. My cousin hacked down one of the room walls in her jumbo flat making a very big room that she converted into a dance room with mirrors on the wall lol. I remember reading the news awhile back that COV has started to come back down to about $20,000 average in Feb 2011. You can read more about it from asiaone:
