Hi
That"s a LONG story.
But thanks for the detail.

That"s a LONG story.
But thanks for the detail.
I am a Feline bride. Well, I would think it doesn't matter how Rachel behaves. So long as you communicate things clearly with them, I am quite sure things will turn out fine. Designers usually behave differently. I must say they are a nice lot of people at Feline. Well, I don't have a coordinator too. However, Rachel is rather prompt in her email replies. And when I call, Rachel is usually in. Even if she is not, there are others to help. Maybe I am someone who takes control of what I do, hence, I don't mind the follow ups. They are afterall a bridal shop, not a wedding planner.
Just did my gown selection last week. Rachel is nice... I went for my first make up trial. The first MUA was fine but my current MUA is even better. She is patient, advises me and even chit chats with me. After a few gowns, she was able to grasp my likes and started bringing me gowns which I like. Even though it was just a gown selection session and she wasn't even my make up artist then, she makes sure I look my best by adjusting my gown and pulling the straps behind really tightly so that I could see my figure which I don't really have in the first place. And she snapped two strings in the process of doing that. Oh boy! That must have hurt. She really makes me look beautiful! Hubby looked at me with his jaws dropped on a few gowns!
I arrived on time but they were busy and couldn't attend to me for maybe around 30minutes (can't rem how long). Rachel and MUA kept apologising but it is no fault of theirs. The morning couple turned up 1 hour late. Since I have time, I don't mind waiting and checking out the gowns first.
I have always been uncomfortable baring myself in front of others but my MUA was able to make me feel at ease. She even taught me how to wear the gown as Hubby and Sis will be helping out on photo shoot and actual day for subsequent dresses. Considering that she advised all these when she wasn't even my MUA, I was rather touched. We were also very fast in the changing of gowns. My friends were amazed that I could try 12 gowns within about 2.5 hours. They could only try around 5 - 6 gowns within that time frame.
I went a second time to try out more gowns. They were not upset that I am so fussy and have to turn up a second time. In fact, I felt very welcomed by Rachel especially with her smiles when I reached the shop. My MUA has a very good memory too. She could remember the dresses I had tried out the other time. She also advised which gowns would flatter my figure. Rachel, upon hearing that I intend to change my MUA, immediately told me that this MUA can help me do another round of make up. Friends were surprised. I didn't even ask for that. This is the kind of initiative Rachel has and more importantly, I believe she wants me to be sure that I have made the right choice. When she went to the back, she still remembered and told my MUA to do a trial for me. Rachel designed one new gown and asked if I wanted to try on my second visit. I thought they would be hostile towards me but they are not. As a boss, she is attentive. She might not be very outspoken but she actually came to the back to get my MUA to have her dinner while she attended to me.
My MUA did a fantastic job with her make up. She sticked some tape to create the double eyelid effect. She has such high expectations that she took out and pasted the tape several times. The same goes for eyelashes. I must say I am very satisfied with her make up skills. She made my small eyes look very big. The only thing is I would have to ask for her to apply a thicker make up on the day of the photo shoot so that the photos will turn out well. But I am sure she will know what to do that day.
Although Rachel didn't specify who the best photographer is despite me asking her but she introduced the current one I have first. Upon comparison of photos between him and the other photographer, I knew for myself who the better one is. As a layman, I could tell from even the unedited photos.
The seamstress, however, seemed annoyed with us. Well, Hubby didn't stand up straight. Not wrong for us to correct him mah. And we were also teasing him because he was just too tall. Some suits don't fit him. Didn't like a statement made by her. She said that I am already reacting like this before marriage. What would I be like after the wedding. sounded so much like a MIL..
Anyway, I emailed Rachel after every visit to firm things up. I have read stuff online and to be honest, I am worried. To act as a reminder for myself, Hubby and Feline, I will just be a hardworking bride and email them after every visit. In fact, Rachel read my recent email while in Bali for a photo shoot. She couldn't answer my questions now but she made it a point to reply my email to let me know why she can't answer me. I appreciate that.
Well, there will be more intensive correspondences with them as our photo shoot and wedding day is drawing nearer, I hope things turn out well and I will be updating you guys on my encounters at Feline. I have never been a patient person and I must admit I am a complaint queen. I never hesitate to voice out my displeasure for services under satisfaction. So far so good at Feline!
PS: There is one thing I learnt outside Feline bridal on my second visit though. If your bridal car is white, please do mention to them. The florist actually came with white ribbons and white flowers for the bridal car. Apparently, the owner of the car (not sure if he is the groom) is not happy at all. I won't be too. The colours all blend together. The florist actually replied that so long as the couple didn't specify, they will come with white flowers and ribbons. Well, that didn't cross my mind that my bridal shop should remind me as I would definitely make sure I choose the way my bridal car should turn out to be.
