I think Fullerton is more 'exclusive' compare to Mandarin Oriental.. Firstly is the location, attended a wedding in Oriental few years back and i had a hard time searching for a car park lot! Next, its like a cluster amongst few hotels and shopping mall - sharing the same carpark.. Food wise, i really can't recall..

Went to Marriott last year for viewing, didn't like the ballroom as it looks very empty, the ceiling is not very nice and the place is very dark.. Food wise, went there 2-3 years ago and it wasn't good..

I am having my dinner in Fullerton this Nov.. SIL's friend attended a wedding there 2 weeks ago, commented that food was very good, wedding favour is 'exclusive' but, because the food is served individually, the servers started to rush towards the end, which i think we will have to highlight to our coordinator to make sure things like that won't happen..

Oh ya, their 2 storey bridal suite room is superb!! But do bear in mind their aisle is very short and the ballroom is longish instead of squarish.. You can tell by looking at the structure of the building.. Haha!

If you want a better ambience in general, go for Fullerton.. But if you're looking for yummier food at a more reasonable price the marina is a better choice (: depends on what's more important to you.

I guess that really depends because in both Fullerton and Mandarin oriental itself, there are quite a few different locations as well as ballrooms. I guess both the hotels have their own strengths and really depends on what sort of environment as well as atmosphere you're looking to have If you're not looking for something too big, Fullerton has the straits ballroom which is a really really pretty place. Mandarin's fan-shaped ballroom is also quite an interesting option! and their service and managers are fantastic too ;)
