Hi I have been to these 2 places for both events and weddings. I seriously prefer Furama Riverfront than Park Royal @Beach Road because it has a pillarless and more spacious ballroom, ceiling height is high as about 6m, can accomodate up to 50 tables, very good service and they have ample of carpark lots. Park Royal's ballroom looked dimmer and ceiling height is lower. Hope this helps. Thanks!

guess it's really worth for the price you are paying .. dun worry about the so-called sleeziness due to the KTV juz nxt to the hotel .. it doesn't affect the quality inside
Hi Kaeley, you also agree that their service is great right!! I totally agree with you!!!

I went Furama yesterday. Since we have only 25 tables, we looked at the Mecury ballroom. It have pillars in the room, however projection screens are fixed to overcome the problem of blockage.

Heard from the staff, they will be having wedding fair on 7 July. Still have not confirm the reliability though.

Furama had a very good package when we were looking around and it was what sold us. We have had friends who got married there and they enjoyed their experience. In fact it was their recommendation that helped us to decide on this place.

Hi plummie! Our wedding was in January this year so it was in the year of Tiger which wasn't considered a great year for marriages according to Chinese beliefs. The package they offered has since been revised right after the Lunar New Year (Year of the Rabbit! Great year for marriages!) so I'm not sure what they are offering now.

We had our wedding dinner in the Mercury ballroom (if I recall correctly...on the 3rd floor of the hotel) and about 24-25 tables. The ballroom made the dinner a nice and intimate affair for us. Have you spoken to any one there about their package?

I didn't know that the rates for the wedding dinner would be affected by the year according to the Chinese horoscope! Inflation and all I get it but this I didn't know at all. Would this be the case at the more Westernized venues like restaurants?
