Grand Hyatt vs Regent vs Traders

Am quite torn between choosing a venue for my banquet.. the final 3 in the run are Grand Hyatt vs Regent vs Traders.

Grand Hyatt: big spacious room, 25-28, optimal size for my guest list. is squarish room too, so is good. no pillars in room. food is good, service is good, decorations are simple. price similar to Regent

Regent:small, narrow tanglin room, 16-20 table, slightly tight but do-able. is a combination of 4 rooms, so is long and narrow -- 2 rows of 10 if 20 tables. Aisle is a little narrow but manageable. food is good, service is extremely good, decorations are very special, one of the best amongst all hotels

Traders: Cheapest of the lot, can save ~200 per table. good food, but is well known for super slow service by inexperienced waiters/waitresses. some bad reviews about the coordinators too. big spacious room too.

    Anyone can help? >.<

i would choose regent, if the food is especially good as you say. my family eat out in alot of chinese restaurants so their standard of taste is very high hahaha.

but if grand hyatt is better for your guest list size then go with hyatt better. wouldn't want it to be squeezy for your guests.

I'm also deciding either regent, Hilton or grand hyatt for my wedding in 2012. Any thoughts?

ive been to all three and i feel that regent the food is the best among all. only issue is that the entrance, building and the room does not look as grand as grand hyatt. traders is not bad too.

grand hyatt you may need to engage an external wedding coordinator to spruce up the decor abit, i felt that the decor they provided is abit too little. (maybe i like more extravagant decor?)

went to traders hotel over the weekend for the wedding fair... there are 2 huge pillars in the gallery ballroom which is able to cater for max 30 tables...but the view will not be blocked...

i just find that the co-ordinator are not very flexible..seems like the package is fixed and cant change much.

I'm considering Regent too, but from the photos, it seems like the aisle is very narrow for march in.
Anyone has their wedding there? Can share?

Regent is good only for the ballroom. I actually cancelled my booking (lucky, i have the contract back backed out before signing). Best to see the actual place during a wedding. Regent has a grand ballroom and everything becomes magical in THAT BALLROOM. I was going to use their Nassim room but the whole standard is a world of a difference. The decor is not only limited but PLAIN!! Like 2 banners of white cloth on the celling with 2 balls of flowers and thats all!! No decor for the chairs except for the two VIPs table. I inquired and ask how come it look like this, so different from the picture and their reply was "we used the ballroom photos" the function rooms are different and this is how it will actually look like, sorry. OMG!!!
