Huh Hiking or cruise? Splurge for a few days or go cheap for longer trip?

Which trip is more of a fun vacation style? Hiking and camping or luxurious cruise trip? Would you rather live large for a few days or use that money to extend the trip?

My hubby and I always love the outdoors and being one with nature. So we'd likely go on a hike and camping. If we wanna go swimming, we'll just head on a nearby beach and frolic for a while.

I'd go for the latter. I dont mind staying in hostels in exchange for longer trip with my hubby. A fancy hotel is nice but spending more quality time with my spouse is nicer.

I prefer the cheaper travel for longer time too. I mean cheaper expense on accommodation. I have no problem staying in a budget room with no complimentary breakfast. I can always go outside, look for a local cafe or hawker stalls for authentic local cuisines.

well, for me, I am not an outdoorsy type of person and if I wanna go on vacation, I would not deprive myself of the best things. So for me, a honeymoon is a special vacation, so I would splurge even if it's just a week-long grand holiday.

be practical. go for what works for you financially. It can be that you stay in a luxury hotel and keep your advenures affordable or could also be the other way around. As long as you have planned for your expenses carefully and you think you're ready for an all out vacation, then go for it.

Personally, i will go for cheaper trips but for longer days. It's okay not to stay in an expensive hotel. For me, what matters is the experience with the locals and the place.

if you want to really experience the local scene in whichever country you choose, going cheap should be your best bet

i feel like hiking would be better because for a cruise you're confined to just one big ship
