As long as you have enough savings, go and enjoy this wonderful moment with your new spouse. You both deserve to relax after all the crazy wedding planning.

I would save for this one. Maybe instead of going overseas, you can go for a weekend stay in one of SIngapore's luxury hottels. I think it's still more budget-friendly than spending so much on plane fare back n forth.

We went to maldives for our honeymoon, and it wasnt cheap.. but we never regret it because we deserve it. We want to celebrate that very special moment in our lives.

Do you already have a place of your own? I mean securing a love nest is not cheap. I think spending your money on more important and useful stuff in the long run is more important than a lavish honeymoon.

There are a lot of nice resorts and hotels here.. why not turn it on a staycation honeymoon? It's still fun trust me, and you'll save a lot.

You can be smart with it. Choose a destination you would probably never go to again - it's like a once-in-a-lifetime trip. At the same token, save wherever you can - you can find more affordable hotels and then spend a little more on fun activities.

you can still get some nice "splurge" experiences without actually splurging too much. most resorts will give you an upgrade if you let them know that this is your honeymoon. Also, you should try to earn some miles on your wedding expenses so that you can use it to book your honeymoon (if you are open to waiting some time before going on your honeymoon after your wedding). Mile cards are way better to use for these b/c they typically don't have a cap on monthly rewards, but cashback cards often do. Also, 1 mile os worth 5-8 cents when you redeem for biz class (for more splurging lol!), which is way better pay off for most cashback cards. check out this nice summary if you are interested: https://www.valuechampion.sg/best-cr...dding-expenses

Splurge of course. It is not just any vacation, it is THE vacation. At least once in our lifetime, we experience a luxurious holiday. And what would be better occasion to do that than our honeymoon?

Both! splurge on experiences, save on accommodation and food. Local foods overseas are always cheap..

plus a more affordable hotel is more practical since you're just going to use it to shower and rest.
