hi guys i am wondering on how would you know that a certain place is a perfect wedding venue? What should a soon-to-be bride and groom take note on choosing the right wedding or banquet venue???

i think perfection is subjective... some points to note for some couples are a long walk way (so you can strut your stuff when you enter the hall), high ceilings so the room looks bigger, minimal or no pillars so all your guests can see you on stage, yummy food with good portions.. i think this list can go on and on...

Ultimately, I think it's important that the both of you like the venue - the venue must be able to fit in most, if not all, factors in your wedding plan, given such will be a perfect wedding venue. Like heartsie mentioned, perfection is subjective.

It's important for you and your soon to be husband to plan and brainstorm about what you envision the venue to be. After that, you can start researching on possible venues that fit your plans. You can start from there and then you can survey every venue and choose the best one for your plans and budget.

    - survey the area if it is enough for the number of guests you are estimated to have
    - check their wedding packages
    - check their prices/rates
    - read reviews
    - taste the food

    - the location / the ballroom if its big enough to cater your number of guests attending.
    - wedding packages.(what they include, what they offer)
    - prices and rates
    - reviews of the hotel/restaurant
    - try the food.
*Wedding fairs are the best to get these information. If you sign up early for RSVP i think most probably there will be food tasting
