How did you finance your dream wedding?

Wedding is a special occasion for all of us. However, it takes a lot of preparations and budgeting. I want to get ideas from you. How did you finance your dream wedding?

You are hell lucky dude! On my end, I need to work for it. Honestly, I am planning to get married soon. And this is something that I would throw tons of cash- I know its not right but I and our norm have valued wedding so much.

I have saved a quite amount of money and planning to borrow loans from Credit Unions. Wish me luck dude and I hope I can keep everything in place before the year ends.

I come from a poor family hence I was fortunate enough to have my hubby family to finance us for wedding banquet. However, I know his family is only average income family. I budget plan and save money from all places including download music and do my simple video montage etc. Thus we managed to return my hubby family for the wedding banquet costs and cover all the wedding costs. No gains and No losses. Because of this, sometimes my hubby and I could not sleep for nights which scared for the losses made :/

my cousin's wedding, he's hubby's family paid for it. They re from well-off family that's why they can afford. but they just had intimate wedding, very low-key because that's what my cousin want.. an outdoor casual wedding, very lovely.

Asking a bit of help from the parents wont harm. For sure parents wud always love to help their kids. But make sure u pay for most of the wedding expenses. Dont rely too much on parents.

We opened a joint account too. Parents from both sides wanted to contribute as well, so we accepted with open arms! It's nice to have your own share rather than just relying on parents.

Plan within your budget. Do not go broke becos of it, much less take a loan.

Tbh my bf & i canvassed prices of wedding services a lot before we settled. We chose the most worth it one for both of us without breaking our savings to 0 dollars! It's possible. Just browse thru lots of discount prices & all that.

Make sure to est the expenditure then slowly save your pay together! If you want a big one, need to work hard!
