    It depends you. I used a total of 3 songs on my wedding.

    we used 3-4 songs since the songs that we chose are just 2-minuter songs.

    Ok I know we need songs for 1st and 2nd march in, the intro food serving, how about the wine pouring and cake cutting ceremony? Do we need to to choose songs for those too?

    And any good cd to recommend which I can just play thru out the dinner?

    i think so that it would not appear to be a bit boring for your guests. you can play some instrumentals to fit the ambiance of your wedding and the dinner itself.

    we used 6 songs and all of them are instrumental and just have them looped to keep them playing until the end of dinner.

    just make a playlist so that you can loop the music and it never stops..
