    I am just starting to decorate home, I am changing the bathroom and putting new tiles, but I am afraid of the money I'll spend on it! Well, it is something necessary and home needs to be comfortable, so... :P

    i guess we might spend betweeen $5-8k since we already have some furnitures and decorations with us. just a little touch up will do.

    It will depends on what are your requirements.
    Especially for resale flats, you need to take into considerations on the dismantling costs, unless you're fine with their existing ones.
    Also, for any tiling works, it will usually takes up a huge portion in the renovation price.

    & Sometimes, if you can get some stuff off-shelf, why not? It will also help to cut down the renovation costs. e.g. wardrobes, tv consoles, etc. Unless you really wanted something that you can't find it off-shelf or unique, then you might consider seeking contractors/carpenters for help.

    I do have a friend who is doing contractor, you guys might want to consider getting a quotation from her .
    At least you guys can make comparisons among companies' offers & see which specifications/prices are more worth it.

    depends.. we're still budgeting. i think the remaining money will be spent for the home decor.

    Home decoration is always be a difficult task for everyone and the solution of decreasing the cost of home decoration is create a list that what you want to change or decor in your home. Well my average cost is 20 to 23k.
