knee-lenth dress or floor-length gown for bridesmaids?

I'm thinking of having my bridesmaids wear a knee-length dress instead of floor-length dresses. Would that be a good idea?

it depends on the theme and the venue of the wedding perhaps. If it's a formal affair, then floor-length is the way to go. For more laidback theme wedding, you can get away with knee-length I guess.

Go for long dresses. Weddings, whether formal or semi-formal, bridesmaids should wear long dresses.

Go for long-dresses. Even if the theme is semi-formal, you can play around on the material of the dress. go for flowy, airy fabrics like tulle, but just keep the length long. You want your wedding to stand out from any other events in your life. Let it look more formal than most affairs.

Is it going to be a beach wedding? If yes, then you can get away with knee-length dresses for your bridesmaids. If the venue is an indoor area or a ballroom, keep it long.

Have your bridesmaids wear long dresses. Keep the knee-length dresses for the guests only.

Whatever suits your wedding venue. Garden and outdoor weddings with rustic vibes can get away with short dresses, but not too short.. The safest short you can go probably is knee-length or maybe a tea-length, so it looks a bit formal but not too casual.

If you're torn, pick midi dresses for your bms. They look so feminine, modest yet playful.

Everyone seems to go for long dresses, but short dresses are nice and modest too especially for garden weddings.

I consider floor-length gowns the classic choice.. There are still situations where knee-length gowns look great though! Like if the wedding theme is light or playful, or depending on the venue as well

definitely floor-length, although if the venue is somewhere like a beach, of course you can go for knee-length ones
