Usually I'll give at least $120 for either lunch or dinner for hotel banquets. No surprises that banquet prices are getting increasingly expensive nowadays. it's all above $1k/table from what i see now.

Hi, for me personally, if I can't attend, it goes like this:

    1. 6-stars hotel: $100
    2. 5-stars hotel: $80
    3. 4-stars hotel: $60
    4. 3-stars hotel or lower: $40

NOTE: It really depends on your closeness of your relationship with the couple or friend getting married. If they or she/he is your close friend, I am very sure you do not mind giving more to ensure a happy occasion for both parties.

    Hope this helps. Thanks.

jchua depends on how many star the hotel is and also on the friendship level. normally if I dont go will give only about $80-$100 max.

Yah missylis & asymmptote22 is correct, really depends on the friendship level, that's the rate you can give.
