Kiefer, seems like it's the makeup that went wrong. Not sure if you have feedback to the manager or even the manager itself also behave the same as the staff?
Last time they use to have 1 coordinator assign to each couple so anything you would just look for your coordinator. But it seems that now is not the case as there's no fixed coordinator, each coordinator will be in charge of handling certain portions. So i guess maybe that's why customers have to bring the contract everytime they come. Last time we dun have to do that. It's troublesome for customers having to bring their contract each time they come.
I'm a past MDW bride. There were some good and not too good experience. Like the photoshoot gowns, i didn't like the gowns for the photoshoot but no choice got to just choose despite i feedback i dun like the gowns and they did bring out more gowns for me to choose. Fortunately the photos for my photoshoot turns out nice.
As for my actual day gown, i went for 2 rounds before i get to find one that i like.
I guess for every bridal shop there would be issues with gowns selection, like cannot find the gowns we like. We do come across the forum whereby customers comment that the gowns are nice, wide range of selections...bla bla bla...i guess this kind of thing is subjective bah...
Through reading the forum i learn that whatever they agree or said, i make them write them black and white in the contract. Just that along the way certain things we realised we have miss out and didn't get them to write in black and white before signing the contract. They write in our contract things like if it rains need to reshoot we have pay tpt of $XX. Then we were thinking rain it's not our fault why need us to pay the tpt in the event of reshoot? Fortunately the weather was good on that day of our PS.
As in the photoshop, frankly speaking the photos look around the same before and after the photoshop. Think the most they do is to touch up a bit here and there in terms of the background. For the bride and groom, it will still look the same.
I guess it's all about communication and expectations.

Hi nicoleteosg, i do agree that gowns and stylist definitely plays an important part, that is why we have yet to find something we felt look nice on us, that will make us feel happy and confidence.ofcos, the 2nd part will depend on the photographer on how gd he/she can bring us the best of us..we really hope that we can find something gd..

Congrats for those who managed to get nice and happy experience in MDW. but there are really some who doesnt have gd experience in one way of another. Is a subjective opinion. perhaps that in our case, we expect more with the price we paid but it has yet to meet our expectation.

Wow! The latest reviews kinda struck fear in my heart. I do agree its subjective and for all my luck in my life, I pray that mine will be a better experience. Anyway, more positive reviews to share.. to balance the negative vibes lately. My friend just went for her photoshoot gown selection and she settled her gowns within 3 hours! She was very satisfied with her experience and from her comments, the people who served her so far seemed to be meticulous and thoughtful. Hope more of us are as lucky as her!

Hmm.. so far it has been a very satisfied experience for us.. =)
I supposed it is also subjective, but we have no issues with the gowns & suits.
Collected photos as well.. no issue with the photos or artwork as well..
I think it is impt that communication is well established between the couple and the coordinators.. =)

Can anyone share your MDW local photography & AD package with me? My email: alijo1979@gmail.com

We actually signed up for the Hokkaido wedding shoot but we decided to do it locally. MDW allowed us to change but didn't tell us what was included in the package. We will be going down on this Wednesday for gown selection for photoshoot and to discuss on the change. Can help us?

Given your post,it doesn't looked as if you are sharing your view.

    1) Regarding MUA for mummies & sisters. If it is not free then MDW should tell me directly when I asked specifically prior to signing contract, and not give me false impression that the makeup artist will do it for me for free. My mistake is to trust them fully, and did not put that into contract. Gullible me I should have asked everything to be in contract like you.... but then it is the first bridal package i ever took up..

To every BTB and GTB,all their bridal package is 1st.However,it is contra to what you have claimed.

    2) My point abt the 3 sessions to choose 3 gowns is to illustrate the quality of choice they have. I have not even collected my album yet. Not too sure what you are trying to say abt 'prioritizing', and the $50k. Oh yes, I thought I had signed a $50k contract because they wanna me to bring the contract everytime I come for an appointment.

The purpose for bringing the invoice is to ensure they gave the correct albums/photo.You wouldn't wanna receive album which doesn't belongs to you and vice.

    3) Grey jacket. I did not say they only have grey jacket. I said they do not have a set of full grey suit. If you had read my post carefully you would have understood the points I am trying to bring across.

    Did you request for it?

Even in a lousy shop there will be happy customers, and vice versa. I stand by my words since I do not think the statements I made are unfair or biased. Maybe I need bring a voice recorder everytime I go down to have everything on record, stupid me. Ouch!
Please attach a few photos to show us how "lousy" is MDW's work.
I believe everyone including those whom you trying "caution" would love to take note.No worries,I will on other hand check with MDW and verify with them.
P.S : Eric is my photographer and I have very high hopes on him. Will ask him should he does a screwed up.

    Hi Andrew,

I am sure your experience with MDW will be a marvellous one since you have all grounds covered, and encast in contract, and that you had a favourable experience with them so far. I won't want to be a cold blanket, especially since you can't seem to comprehend what I am trying to convey. Enjoy your shoot...!!

    cheers,
    kiefer

    Hi Licia,
if im not wrong, whatever additional they added for u, should be still be added.. except the no. of poses.. that im not sure.. as for the package details, it should be converted to what the local package covers. They will tell you more about the change during your appointment.
