Anyone tried My Dream Wedding's Hong Kong "Yatch Package" @ Mona Lisa recently?

    How's your feel?

We're impressed by Mona Lisa's level of equipement at HK, but we're not exactly comfortable with the service level and range of gowns at the local "My Dream Wedding". Hence, hesitating if we should chosse them.

    Appreciate all views and advice

Very limited range of suits for the groom in my opinion. We got it frm outside eventually.
The gowns make sure u check them out first and see if you like them. Will think there are better ones elsewhere.

Hi Nekoz, sorry for the late reply. My MUA is Charmaine. She is really good and patient. Photographer is Jason I personally like him as well as the assistant, Kenny.

Hi, I am back again to share more about MDW. However this time round it's not a pleasant experience.

    First encounter/sign up
    http://amyiee.livejournal.com/180452.html

gown fitting( All photos taken secretly)
    http://amyiee.livejournal.com/180595.html

    actual photoshoot
    http://amyiee.livejournal.com/181661.html

Other than during the first meet up when I find the sales staff really not genuine. He was full of like "we focus on customer service yada yada..." However subsequently when I see him in the bridal he was totally like another person. With a stern face not even a smile or hi. Today I am not using this chance to post about him but on one sad incident.

My wedding date was on the 8th June 2013. However, my father had an accident and passed away at end of January. Due to chinese customs from the elders, they say we have to push forward the wedding to within the 100 days. I was in mourning and totally no mood to settle any wedding stuffs at all. My bf called up MDW to inform them.

I received a call shortly from MDW within that week that my father passed away. Initially I thought they called perhaps to send their condolences or whatever. Instead, the staff called to inform me that in order for them to get ready the album, I now need to pay them additional $300 for them to do so. I mean, you call a mourning person just to tell them that?? I was really angry and told her, if you need $300 just so you can do that, forget it. Take your time. And please call my bf for any arrangements.

I understand that its their practices to call brides but in this circumstances shouldnt you be sensitive enough??? Even after telling them that, they are still calling me constantly....when I had make known not to call me during this period.

Subsequently, they said even with the $300 they are unable to rush the album out. WHY NOT you top up $200 to get your photo frames first? Come on. I paid for the packages and now I have to pay extra to get them? I find it ridiculous. I didn't want my wedding to be brought forward as well. My bf also chided them that there are certain money that you just shouldn't earn. Seriously, among 10 couples, how many will have this happen to them in your bridal???

Anyway I have already informed my guest that there won't be any wedding albums.

THen next, I want to warn/highlight/inform you BTBs to be careful when you are signing anything. My package includes 2 bridal make up on the AD. During the first meet up, we told the staff we just need one and he noted it and edited on the sales receipt. Out of trust we signed on it. And now because of the request from future MIL, we checked if my MUA can do one more make up for me on the AD and the answer was no cause they had to follow the sales receipt.

So NOW, I paid for two bridal make up, but I can only have one.

The reason we mention to you was so we thought we had to tell you so you can make arrangement. It's not like you take ONE bridal make up and exchange it with something else for us. DOn't it make sense, if you tell me I have 2 bridal make up. I tell you I just need you to help me do one. But IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES if I have to take TWO, I should be able to cause I paid for it all.

Not sure if I can bring it to the tribunal claims as we had already signed on the receipt.

Whatever it is, I will see what I can do after the wedding as it is just one month away. For now, I just hope BTB will be careful when signing up packages.

Customer Service is not how you SAY it. It's how you deliver it when things happen.
But for MY DREAM (or not) WEDDING, this is how you handle things and tell me it's customer service.

I am truly disappointed. To think I had even "promote" to all my friends telling them about your gowns and photoshoots and all. Guess I was wrong..

Certainly this shows that TALK IS CHEAP. Service is not just about just saying it but speaking it with actions.

Truly these actions are unacceptable especially when it comes to wedding, which is the most important event when it comes to a woman!!

Seems like they are just using every single opportunity to squeeze $$$ out of people without due regards to their circumstances which is utterly disgusting. So now it appears that you do not have any photo albums to show your guests after going through all the hardwork to have the photographs taken!!! If it was me, I will definitely be utterly upset!!!

Thank God I did not take up MDW! and to all BTBs, including myself, better be careful when it comes to signing of agreement. Because once you signed on the dotted line, you can't back out from it. Make sure they include everything in black and white so that they do not have any chance to charge you for anything else!!

Hi, my fiance and i signed up for MDW at BOWS this year and got a really good bargain. We have paid a $500 deposit - however, after much considerations we have decided to go ala carte instead as my fiance came to know someone (friend's relative) who could offer us custom made gowns at a very cheap rate.
It is a pity to let the package go but this is our final decision - willing to let go of it at $400 if anyone is interested. We have bargained for the package and all the perks that you would want to spend time bargaining for, are already in there - PM me for details!

    Dear Amyiee,

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Thanks for sharing your unpleasant experience with MDW and your encounter has ceased my friends and I for signing up their packages.
