Need some advise on wedding matter. Please help me. Thks
Hi, can someone help me on these issue.
1) Do we exchange wedding ring during ROM or Church wedding or during the Banquet?
2) If our wedding is held in the morning at the church, do we still have to go through the chinese custom of going to the bride house early in the morning?
3) Anyone can help on choosing a date for our wedding, maybe any good website for reference or any book to look for. (We would like to hold it in 2012)
Thanks.
Valjean

Where will be your ROM held? At the church?
You will exchange rings during ROM, if ROM is held at church, then that's the place where you will exchange the ring.
For question 2, i guess still have to? But not very sure. Guess you have to ask both side of the family and have a agreement.
You can have a look at the auspicious dates thread in this forum... There's plenty of good dates for you to choose. =)

yupyup, as meilingg mentioned, exchange of rings is when you're officially declared husband and wife by the JOP. so wherever that is, is where you exchange your rings.
gate crashing is done together with the day you do the chinese customary tea ceremony.. so if it is the same day as the church wedding, then yes, you do the gatecrash that day as well. it's up to the couple and the family to decide if gate crashing is wanted. hope that helps.

normally I see most friends who have church wedding do the exchanging of rings at the church wedding.. so they consider that as the ceremony instead of solemnisation at the hotel.

Yes, just have to be up and early to fetch the bride, normally church weddings in morning will start 10 plus, so that by time it ends, will be lunch x for guests..

the exchanging of rings happens during the rom or the church wedding itself
