Is it ok not to have Gatecrashing?

    Hi,
Need some advice. Due to time constraint, I was thinking of checking into hotel 1day before AD wedding so have more time for preparation. That means we will not have Fetch the bride/ gate crashing.

Like to check if its ok. Thanks

It depends on yourself or your parents. All these are just part of the tradition. Whether its important or not, it's up to individual

It is not compulsory to have gate crashing, but actually IMO, gate crashing makes the wedding process more interesting!

I feel that gatecrash is not that important but fetching of bride is, and also tea ceremony at groom's house

some ppl dont wan gate crashing because they feel tt they want the fetching of the bride shun shun li li. then will good for the groom which means everything he do will have no obstacles.

others believe that the groom must go through gatecrashing to prove himself to the girl that he is worthy of her and is able to go through all obstacles to protect and love him wife.

it depends on how u see it. =)

Nowadays, a lot of couple also avoid gatecrashing. For us, we are also not going to have gatecrash..

Im not planning to have gate crashing as well. In the end also i doubt most people will have the time to play all the games planned. After all if the time is up no what what happens we can still enter.

Gate-crashing depends on individuals. For my wedding we will be skipping the gate-crashing, save time and hassle to prepare and come up with games, etc. lol. And the timing to fetch the bride cannot be late or else not so good.

So for those without gate crash, meaning the groom will just go into the house and fetch the bride? If so, not bad... cos i don't intend to sabo my HTB.

From what I understand from my FSM, he said the timing given is for the groom to knock on the door. gate crashing starts after that. so if anybody is worried abt timing, it shouldn't be that much of an issue unless she's a teochew bride. where they must be out of the house before sunrise.
