    Resale or BTO?

Resale no need to wait, BTO have to wait 5 years.. which did you choose? I'm still trying to make up my mind whether to bid or to buy resale..

    Prefer BTO, new house better.

I once had a friend who shared she will only go for BTO no matter what. Cos if resale you wouldn't know the "history" of the unit itself etc. LOLs.

For resale, you pay a lot more but you can choose a location with amenties like near MRT/coffee shop. Saves a lot of time if stay near MRT station coz no need to walk a lot or waste money/time on feeder service. But don't buy those units facing the mrt tracks. Super noisy.

Obviously you need to check for telltale signs of loanshark activity for the unit as well.

Ya i Jut got my resale but if can wait, just wait for BTO. But BTO nowadays might not be cheaper.

With BTO you can take advantage of the first-timer grant of 30k. and if you live near your parents, there's another additional 10k grant. could be of great financial help to young couples.

Depends on couple budget, desire to have their own nest, & family planning. There are benefits to both BTO & resale, as well as cons. Couple needs to know what their needs & resources are to make a decision.
