Shorlisted ROM Venues - Anyone to share details?

    Hi all,

I've looked through some websites and shortlisted these - based on budget and nice deco from the photos:

    1. Mimolette
    2. Amara Sanctuary/ The Glass Pavillion
    3. Chinois (Tung Lok) - $48-$68 per pax
    3. Tung Lok Central/ Clarke Quay - $488 - $688 per table of 10
    4. One Rochester

Anyone has heard from any experience at these places? I cant seem to find the guideline prices for some of the above - if anyone of you has would you please share with me?

    Thanks in advance!
    Cheers

Heard that mimolette is now called mimo kitchen and bar.
went there once, nice decor, ambience but secluded in terms of accessibility. Better if your guests have cars. parking not an issue though, if it is a small crowd.
service was not bad, food okay..

    Hi!

I managed to get my glass pavillion for $1888 and 60++ per pax (I think) for high tea buffet, with a min of 50 guest.

Mine was weekend, and we choose it because its within our budget. I think it's quite worth it given the extra perks given. You can even go in for site inspection etc prior to the event, so as to take a look at the actual set up when there's a event. And I must say, I really like the place! Not just the glasshouse, but the whole place in general. And, the person-in-charged reply really promptly too. Hope it helps!

    Hi all!

I got it through a road show in Jan held at Vivo. It was special promotion I guess. Here is the list of things and items included.

    1. Use of glasshouse for 3 hours. Ours is high tea, so the timing is 2-5pm. Cost :$1,888
    2. Hightea buffet at $60++ per pax. Minimum 30 guest
    3. Use of buffet venue from 3 to 530pm
    4. Free flow of soft drinks during glasshouse booking hours
    5. Waiver of corkage charges for 4 bottle of wines.
    6. Free entry for all guests (I guess this is common?)
    7. One night stay at Premier room with buffet breakfast for 2
    8. Simple center piece and decoration for the glass pavilion (And its REALLY simple. But i dont think we will engage florist. Just ask my sisters to help out!)
    9. Wedding invitation cards (But u have to pay for ur own printing. Only realize it yesterday when chatting with the person over the phone)
    10. Complimentary car passes (what i heard of is that guest dont have to pay for parking cos the hotel is doing some reno thingy with their carpark)

ALSO, i think the best is that anytime u wanna visit the venue, they will issue u complimentary passes to enter into sentosa (:

    Hope it helps!

P.S. It's true that u will get cheaper price during road shows. so do look out for them!

But yea, we went down when there is an actual event to see how the place looked like. Not only the glasshouse is nice, the hotel, in general is nice! I think there are alot of places where u can take photos!

P.S. The photo dont do the place justice.

Thanks for sharing! I hope there is a road show soon for some special deals again. Actually I stayed at the hotel before and while exploring I saw the very pretty glass pavilion. And I agree that the place is serene and nice, good for outdoor weddings!

Thanks all for sharing! so amara does cater for less than 50 peeps (min. 30 pax as written above?) but then again that place is expensive....i've got to start browsing for other places then... since we dont expect too many guests...

does anyone have previous experience attending ROM's at one rochester?

Oh the Glasshouse is very lovely. Was at the hotel before and saw the glass house. Really very dreamy. For the package deal that you have gotten, it sounds like a really good deal as well.
