Should I surprise my H2B by entering a weight loss competition?
I need some advice.
Me and my husband to be have been talking quite openly about my weight recently. Most women would probably flip if their husband encouraged them to lose weight, but I know he is just trying to help because I am self conscious after going up a couple of dress sizes in the last year or so.
He bought me some running shoes for my birthday and has started cooking me healthy meals so I really appreciate all his help. I came across this link on some other bridal forums for a competition to help brides-to-be lose weight.
https://www.bigfatlottos.com/blog/bi...ig-fat-lottos/
They give them loads of help and gym memberships and whoever wins gets £5,000, which trust me, would help towards our weddings costs a lot, or might even be able to get us a dream honeymoon. I don't want to enter it if I will be made fun of, and I don't even know if my H2B would want me to enter it. But I also think it would be a way of thanking him for all his help.
Opinions please x

Yes I think you should discuss with him first rather than surprising him. There are better things to surprise him with ;)

Hi,
Have you tried weight loss/cleanse products?
I am in the research department for a health supplement company. We are looking for people in Singapore to try out a new weight loss / cleanse product combination and report your weight loss results to us. We will send a 3 month supply of each product to you for free. All we need you to do is send us a monthly report advising us of your weight loss results.
This is strictly limited to the first 10 people so if you are interested please get in touch asap.
I will send the website details to show the products also to the first 10 people.
Thank you

I also think you need to talk to him about that since it is a public thing. He might think you are trying to keep things from him and he might get upset. So to avoid any form of misunderstanding, just tell him.

i think you should talk to him first so he won't be too shocked.

I agree. He'll be really shocked if he suddenly saw you on tv or wherever.

it would be better if you inform him so that he can somehow support you with it.
