dun go there .. becos i acc my gf who had alry signed up for their package (AD + taiwan PS) . their service wasnt up to my standard .
here's the -ve abt them
1) before signing the package , they dun allow u to tk a look at their gown 1st .. telling u the room has been locked etc .but seriously , u r the boss or in charge of the shop , how could u not hv a spare key with u ? (but i didnt buy their story) .
2) my gf wans to go for taiwan PS . the deal sounds really good .. free lodging and lotsa photos to choose from .. BUT !!! u mus bring ALL 5 suits of gowns and outfits ALL BY YOURSELF !! wad rubbish seriously .. it loads more den 10kg !!
3) when we request for PG port folio , she cant even produce out any others . when i questioned her , she says she have a few PG in taipei . ALL FREELANCE ! they do not hv a port folio ( or either she doesnt wan to show me ) how on earth can u not hv samples of your PG for clients to pick ? wad if we didnt like the style of the PG ?
4) they do not have any links in taiwan .. so u hv to meet up with the PG n MUA somewhere in taipei once u reach there .. no ppl's gonna fetch u ..
5) when u go taiwan for PS, obviously u wanna tk PS with their gowns , not local right ? the style is totally different.

i actually had a good experience with them. their service is quite okay for me. the photography was fine too. the photographer was actually great and a pro.

I would say their photographer, Gary is rather experienced, making the process an enjoyable and relaxing one but not the MUA. She is quite skillful but not professional as she did not follow us throughout the outdoor photo shoot. Towards the end of the day especially, our hair were already quite messy and needed her help but she was nowhere to be seen. She didn't even bother to bring her makeup kit along but was always so "busy" with her hp. Overall, their service is just average.

I like their gown collection but I'm not that fond of their photography services.

im going for a prewed shooting w them next week in tw...but there's a very little review on the studio and also i will like to know if there is anyone who can share w me on their actual day photography? Im contemplating on signing with another studio on the AD photography and videography. Anyone can advise?

hihi i particularly like the photoshoot in tw.. results turns out to be really good. But one issue is that they promise to give me all the untouched copy from the photoshoot, but end up they claim is only those i have choosen. Oh well, i did not ask her to state it in my invoice so i cant argue much.

Here's my review on Universal Bridal Studios:
Package - Pre-wedding Photoshoot

Overall Rating - 3.5/5.0
I had fun with UBS. We were to blame for our losses as we didn't do a double check on the receipt. I hope this review can help others to decide.

1. Personnel
Sales - 2.5/5.0​
Please make sure that everything that has been discussed and agreed upon is written in the receipt
Our Losses -
Cover of the Album - Ours should have been the "fiber glass" but it was not written in the receipt so they told us to pay for an additional S$300.
Freebies - They told us that HMUA will be joining us in the Outdoor Photoshoot with no additional fees but it was all forgotten when we were setting an appointment. There's an additional S$150 for this service.
Photo on canvass - This one is an exception; It was written but was misinterpreted.
Gowns - They have a separate set of gowns for indoor and outdoor. When we saw the albums during their roadshow, they told us that we can use it in outdoor photoshoot but it turns out that we have to pay for an additional S$250 for every gown.
Gowns/Suit - In the receipt, it was written that we will have 5 outfits for the studio and outdoor photoshoot. But when we went to choose our attires, they told us that it will be a combination of 2 traditional dress/victorian style and 3 evening gowns. We didn't agree as this was never MENTIONED during our purchase. And fortunately, they didn't push through it and let us have the 5 outfits.

HMUA (Head) - 5.0/5.0​
She's a real talent. She studied Hair and Make-up Artistry both here in Singapore and other countries (ie. Korea).
She can make you feel like a princess; No doubt in her skills.

ASSISTANT (HMUA/Receptionist, etc) - 4.0/5.0​
She is nice and very accommodating! I like her.

PHOTOGRAPHER - 3.5/5.0​
He is very experienced in his field. It's like his motto is - Every shot matters. He orchestrated the whole day photoshoot.
The only downside is we can feel that he was already tired towards the end of the day. Our package included the sunset shoot but he said that the day was over. So when we came in to review the photos, we didn't get anything at all from the last set. And we're a bit disappointed.

2. Others
INDOOR STUDIO - 3.5/5.0​
The studio is quite small but you'll be amazed on how much they can do with it. I suggest you browse through their sample photos to have an idea.
The setup can still be improved.

WEDDING GOWNS/SUIT - 3.0/5.0​
They have a lot of nice indoor gowns. They have the bright blue dress that I like. You can do a Frozen Theme with it.
For the outdoor, the choice is limited. Very limited.
For the suit, they only have WHITE, SILVER and BLACK.
Other option - Traditional Dress and Victorian Style.

Please think twice before signing with Universal Bridal! The fat auntie that served me at BOWS was so sarcastic when we rejected her. She was still praising us about our appearance before explaining the packages until we told her that their photos are not the style we are looking for, she started to be so sarcastic saying we are not models, hence the photos we take will not be as nice as what we were looking for. -.- Apparently, she claimed that there is no other bridal shops in the BOWS event that will be able to satisfy us. This is absolutely absurd because we did sign up a package the next day and I can bet all the other bridal shops in the wedding fair are MUCH BETTER than UNIVERSAL.

I just signed a package with them at BOWS one and a half weeks ago and paid $2k deposit. After seeing all the reviews I am quite worried. I did went down to their boutique to take a look at the gowns, and the selection was really little, especially evening gowns. Though there were a couple of white gowns which were not too bad. However, I feel like backing out and I am not sure if they will refund me my deposit. How should I go about to ask if I can get a refund? Any kind souls here to give an advice? Thanks!
