Spend within your means!
I had my wedding last dec. Due to my busy schedule, i only spend the last 2 weeks preparing for my wedding. And non of my relatives nor cousin offered help. It was my gfs who really make wonders and saved my day.
It is through such occasions you get to see who are the ones who really cared. My wedding was simple, and very basic. And yet i still made $10K from it. Blessings. So seriously, dont bother with the nitty gritty details, eg, wedding cards ( who actually keeps it, usually guest will read it once and throw it aside),
welcome gifts (leave it to the hotel and chose practical ones. nobody would want to use things with your name on it). Seriously, who remembers your wedding except you n your hubby. So go with the flow, what ever can go wrong will go wrong, my wedding march in song and first dish song were all wrongly played. But who still remembers? Except for me. ha ha....
Good Luck.

i think you still need to spend at least a little for the wedding invitations and the gifts since some guests really keep it.

Thank you so much. I also don't see the point of having a grand wedding if in the end, we'll have a lot of debt.

I think it's dependent on each couple but I agree that we should be prudent when spending! Set a budget first and be sure to keep close to it and not overspend
