Wedding Ring

Buying online can be slightly cheaper but you need to verify if the diamond is real by yourself with another additional few hundred dollars. But buying online means you cannot see the ring yourself. Is a give and take situation.

You can try going to non-commercial wedding rings retailers who can help you to customise the design and its cheaper. Perhaps you can try going to vivo diamonds.

My HTB and I bought our rings from Tiffany & Co. We opted for a dual-coloured (gold + platinum) pair which is simple yet elegant and classy and we really love it. We spent less than 5k for the pair. I really don't think price should be the deciding factor as you are going to wear the ring for life, choose one that makes you fall in love each time you look at it =)

Hello Gamer :)

I got a custom made .65 from my bf..oops, fiance, this march. Less than 5k i think? Does your gf want a branded ring? Have to try to get a feel, then you'll know how much to spend. Heeehe. Good luck!

hey missyf!! i'm almost the same as you!! we got it from house of hung, at far east plaza. where did you get yours? i agree that getting a non-branded ring from a private jeweller is way better, with a huge diamond of the same quality for the same price! :)

Is it ok if the wedding band for the groom is different from the bride, in terms of colour? For instance one is white gold, the other rose gold?

it is getting more and more common for the couple ot get something that is not from the same range. For one, they might like different styles (e.g. matt or platinum for the groom, and a shiny elegant diamond studded one for the bride). Also, jewellers are very smart in selling the "couple" rings, so buying 2 of the same range is more expensive than buying 2 separate rings from different ranges. As long as the 2 rings have some similarities to symbolize unity between the couple, i think it is fine :)

which material for wedding bands are better?
platinum or white gold?
since it's going to be worn everyday, it has to be hardy and withstand knocks here and there.

Hi ladies,

Do you think getting rings from shops like LeeHwa, Citgems etc is worse off than from places like Meyson etc? SO has been bringing me to shop around but after a while, all seem the same to me. I look for excellent cut, between D to F, as well as 0.4 to 0.5 carat size. This is good enough for me since i've very small and skinny fingers!

i think what is important is your diamond's specifications and authenticity, rather than the brand of the shop you are getting from.

each of these shops have their own specialty and have to get a ring that you absolutely love.

for me, i will not consider citigems, sk jewellery, taka jewellery as i dont think they meet my requirements. lee hwa's destinee, forevermark, soo kee's brillant rose are good choices for decent diamond selections in my opinion.
