What should we do when we go down to recce ballroom by fixing appointment with wedding coordinator?


When is a good time to negotiate for additional perk?
when after decided the location before signing the contract or during first time appointment?

Just go down for the recce and see whether you like the place, ask before hand to see the bridal suite if you want to see how big it is, and whether it can accommodate your entourage. If not you can ask whether there would be any additional day room for your helpers to use.

You can ask for additional perks on the day itself so you can compare the additional perks from one hotel to another, and they would usually say if you have your wedding during the lull period, eg 7th month, you can ask for more perks. And after you more or less confirm you want that particular hotel, maybe you can ask for even more perks?

I am still looking around hotels for my weddings but some additional perks u can try asking for are
- converting day room for helpers into a night stay for them
- additional 1 night stay for one of their higher end rooms (something equivalent to the bridal suite)
- 1 complimentary house pour wine per confirmed table (not all hotels give it)
- free flow beer (not all hotels give it too)

Also can try asking for free corkage. I know MO gave free flow beer.

yeah, i think you can do some negotiation when you go there to scout the area.
