hi umikalthom, welcome to Perfect Weddings!
Most brides start by choosing a bridal boutique. A bridal boutique usually provides most, if not all, of the things you will need for your wedding. They include the wedding dress, wedding photography, bridesmaid dresses, coordination for Actual Day wedding etc. You can read reviews and make your selection at this sub forum at Wedding Packages and Preparations. There are many brides who share their experiences about bridal boutiques there as well.
The next big thing would be to choose your wedding banquet/solemnisation venue. Hotels are a popular location for the purpose because of their size; they can accomodate almost all guest list sizes and offer attractive wedding packages which often include a stay at the hotel and many other freebies. You can check out the various packages and price list of the hotels at the Wedding Banquet Price List section. If you would like to talk about the wedding venues, you can check out the Wedding Venues Talk. There are many alternative wedding venues that you can consider which brides like you are talking about.
Feel free to ask any questions! We would love to help you out

hi vintml! welcome to perfect weddings! you can choose a bridal studio by going to Wedding Packages and Preparations to check out bridal studios in singapore. After which, if you need to choose a place for solemnisation or wedding banquet, the Wedding banquet price list section is very helpful.

Hi Vintml & VictorTay
Welcome to perfect weddings
You will first need to do a research on what are the current pricing for wedding events, such as Pre-Wedding Packages, Actual Day Wedding Packages, Banquets (Restaurant or Hotel or Resort, Indoor or Outdoor, Lunch or Dinner, Buffet or Ala Carte etc).
Knowing the pricing, you can think of what is your budget for such events ...
Look through the list to 'watch out' for your budget range
Visiting the place to help you decide
Ask your friends (married), which place they got for their wedding events. You may get some discount when it comes to "I am referred by who and who"
Hope that helps.

hihi, im new too..i have asked many frens. they suggest:
- find the suitable date
- what kind of wedding/small/big/chinese/western/banquet/buffet
- finalize the locations and hw many tables u intend to do? If htl, have to start booking as good dates are taken up easily
- meanwhile researchin for bridal studio packages (usually the package can b stretch within few yrs)
- slowly plan backwards..
tts wat im doing now..hahaha

Hi Tamiko .. that's about I am doing now too !! hehehe
- rough idea of how many guest we are going to have
- decide on the wedding date
- what kind of wedding
- look for the hotel or venue that can accomodate to your number of guest and the style of your wedding
- search for bridal studio packages
highly recommended is that what ever you do... do read up reviews and see more other offer before you decide to sign up any of the packages be it the venue or bridal studio. DO NOT sign up a package quickly just because you THINK its the cheapest which might not be what you want. REMEBER sign up any package with a calm mind.

Hello! I am new and I would like to find out, let's say I am getting married in Year 2012, is it too early to plan now?

hey Adele, definitely not 'too early' to start now, in fact it's just nice. Usually planning for wedding takes about 1 year to properly plan and book venues.
