Any idea for a program or activity for the 1st march in?

Hi I'm quite new here. I'm helping out my friend's wedding as an emcee but I do not have experience in it.

His wedding is a buffet-dinner and he is afraid of guests eating and going off early.

I understand that it will be better if there is a program, however he does not have a cake cutting ceremony during the 1st march in.

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on what to do for the 1st march-in?
(I'm planning to show the morning highlights video just before the 2nd march-in)

Yes, you can do that, the video thing and maybe get some band to entertain your guests too. i don't think it would be appropriate to do some games. maybe you can also do the throwing of bouquet thing after the first march-in.
