Hi Nway,

We chose Colonial @ Scotts as our wedding reception was only a small affair for 60+ people. Different time slots have different rates so you might like to check with the person i/c Vanita to get the latest rate card. For our wedding lunch slot from 12-3pm, venue rental was $700. We then added an additional hour for $100 as I wanted my caterer to come in earlier to set up and also we needed time to decorate the place. I was sprinkling rose petals at the entrance area, haha.

Also, as we brought in our own caterer, we had to pay an outside catering surcharge of $500. But if you decide to use theirs (the owner of this venue is also the owner of Song of India), then there is no need to pay surcharge. But I didn't fancy their buffet menus so I engaged Lavish Dine instead. Colonial @ Scotts charges only 5% incidental charges, no GST or service charge but you have to pay a refundable security deposit of $200 which you can get back after your event.

I'm planning to do my solemnisation & lunch reception at colonial but still surveying..
cause i understand its able to fit up to 110paxs. & im also planning doing for one time seating which foods been served by course..
i wonder if they do deco for us too?? I'm a malay lady..
I saw one of the albums at their facebook.
But when i enquire for deco, no replied from her..
Been dealing with esha..
& for dj, is it a must for us to use their microphone & stuff? what if i bring in my own dj?
lastly for carpark, how many slot they able to give?

Fyi, if your budget is less than $1k, it will be more feasible to consider booking the private dining room of Chinese restaurants. They only have a minimum spending of about $600 to $800 depending if its lunch or dinner. If your budget is less than $2k, which is like mine, you can consider high tea or lunch reception. Most solemnization receptions require minimum 30 to 40 guests.

Hi Cioe, sorry for the late reply. Summer Palace and Si Chuan Dou Hua can use their private dining room to hold the ROM, they had emailed me the menu, all less than $1k. I will think Summer Palace is better as they provide complimentary parking ticket.

Hi Happystreet22, Si Chuan Dou Hua quoted me start from $488 per table. For ROM table set-up, they charge $80++per flower arrangement and pillow ring. Is it the restaurant named as Si Chuan Dou Hua Fan Zhuang?
By the way, may i know where is the Summer Place? Is it at Regent hotel?
