Hi

Can share your experience?

We will be going Taiwan but we have no idea where should we go?

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Hello astutekitty and welcome to perfectweddings community :)

Are you looking to venture out to different places on your own or are you looking to go with a tour group?

There are many attractive places to visit in Taiwan and it really depends on what kind of traveling you prefer, is it visiting nature, lakes, relaxing in nature, scenery kind? Or shopping? Or visiting cultural places like museums, temple, etc?

Hi Pixie

We am going to Taiwan 5th-13th March for our wedding shoot and holiday there.
First 3 days, we will be following the crew team for photoshoot.
But the remaining 6 days, we will be on our own.

We are interested in shopping (like bugis street type not shopping malls), sightseeing (not temple type =P), Taiwan food, special places which Singapore does not have (oops =x) ...etc

Any place to recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Ooh nice! The first 3 days of photoshoot will be pretty tiring so probably the 4th day can have a day of relaxation viewing some beautiful scenery places. Below are some that are highly recommended, you can view their official website for more details and pictures. The list is not comprehensive but I would say the scenery of the nature parks are very beautiful! If you love nature and animals like me then you should check out the national parks :D Hope this helps!

Scenic Sites:
1. Taroko National Park, in Hualien

2. Kenting National Park, in Pingtung (They have underwater world, animals, pretty beach ocean)

3. Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area, in Yilan

4. Yang-Ming Shan National Park, in Taipei

Cutural Sites:
1. The National Palace Museum in Taipei.

2. The National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall (ex. Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall), inc. CKS Cututal Center (National Concert Hall & National Theater) in Taipei

3. The office of President, in Taipei
(http://www.president.gov.tw/en/)

Life Style:

1. Shulin & Tienmu Night Markets, in Taipei

2. Tamsui & Lukung Old Street

3. Taipei 101 Building, in Taipei

if you're into shopping, the best experience for me was at shida night market. i scored my best buys there! clothes, bags, shoes, accessories costing slightly more than wufenpu but still cheap! i reckon this is a more pleasant shopping experience than wufenpu.

yup it's possible. take the early train to hualien, then visit the taroko gorge (the main attraction in hualien). can just book a taxi and go walk on your own. then take the evening train back to taipei. train travel takes about 2+ hours. But if you want to do this, best to book the train tix once they are out. will post a link with details on the train booking how-to tomorrow.

Wow... just realised it cost more than $100 for 2 person to travel to Taipei for a day trip... might need to ask my HTB, if he's interested....

Hihi,
My fiance and I have also done our PS in Singapore, but we are planning to take some wedding pics in Taiwan since we will b visiting it in Sept this year.
Have checked d prices, and they all cost approx $2000-3000+.
even if I specificed tt I will b bringing my own gown, d lowest cost is still $1500+.

We r contemplating bringing a tripod, n taking d pictures ourselves- just to capture d scenery.
We've never been to tw before, but plan to go to Yangmingshan for our DIY photoshoot.
Has anyone done a PS there before? How is it like? How did u manage to change into ur gowns, and how did u manage to carry ur stuffs to d locations for the PS? also, we will prObably need to rent a car to take us there right?

Thank u all for ur help!
