Booking the Banquet for 2014

My wedding is gonna be on March 2014 but I've started doing my research 6mths ago. Well, can't blame us BTB for being excited over one of our biggest event in our life! Its never too early to start sourcing for the wedding. However a problem that i encountered so far is booking the banquet...

I wanted to book the ballroom in Fullerton Hotel but they didn't allow, saying the dates for 2014 are not available yet. And bcos the prices for banquet pkgs tend to increase every year, it means that my budget will be affected, thus I can't really know how much budget I can spare for the rest of wedding necessities/ expenses.

I'm gonna view the ballroom this coming Saturday, hopefully I'm able to lock in a price for the banquet pkg in 2014 :)

As my date is 1.3.14 so its kinda popular date so Thank God I managed to get the date I want by agreeing for $100 extra per table. So far I've also paid deposit for my bridal pkg. wish u luck in ur planning :)

It's gd to plan early. u have time to source for different options and as u plan u will realise wat other tings u have missed out so there's still time to adjust ur budget... I have to admit tat weddings are REALLY expensive! Plan early so u can know how much u need n have more time to save $$$$$ :p

Yes i would say thats a very pop date. I've managed to confirm the banquet on 1.3.14! Gd luck to all my fellow "Eternity" brides ;)

I think I am one of the Kiasu BTB. My wedding is on the September 2014 but I already book my banquet, bridal studio, PG and VG

Wow! well done. I planning my in 2014. Just send my information for the da shi to calculate the dates. Haven book my banquet yet. We are still thinking which date we like. Cos it cant be August. :-( Happen to be the ghost month. Haiz... Hope fully the da shi quickly calculate so we can have a date to book with the hotels.

I'm also planning for the wedding in end dec. gotta 2 favourable dates from my master. are the hotels able to quote the rates for 2014?

shooshoo85, I think you will receive the dates from da shi soon then you can start sourcing for banquet.

masschaoz, the hotels that I book with allow me to book the 2014 banquet for the rates of 2013, maybe because I sign up with them during the roadshow.

Hi karoruluv, when you mention roadshow, are you referring to the hotel's roadshow or a generic wedding/bridal fair? Dunno if it is more wise to book during hotel's roadshow or a generic wedding/bridal fair...

I'm referring to both, either the hotel workshop at the hotel or generic wedding/bridal fair. Is good to sign up during the roadshow cos more perks will be given to you compare when you sign up during normal times. If you wish to sign up during the roadshow, you must do some homework beforehand, know more about their package, service, food quality, what are the perks they usually give to the couple etc. Then when you have shortlist the hotels you really want, you can go to the roadshows and see what are the additional perks that they can offer, then you can make the decision on which hotel to sign up.

Hi 2014 BTB! =) Can u all share what hotels u all are looking into??My AD is in May 2014...But cant decide on which hotel...Many thanks in advance =)
