Dining area lighting style

Hi!

Was wondering, what would be the appropriate lighting style for a dining area near the living room?

My house is quite small, so my kitchen and living area is quite close to each other. Any suggestion?

what kind of light you have in your living room? have the dining lighting same with the living room lighting.. or if the living room light is already bright enough, you don't have to add more, maybe accent lighting would be enough.

Have it in the same light with your living room...
I think, being consistent in every choice of material for a small area will make it appear bigger.

a skylight in the kitchen would be very nice. The natural light will illuminate the place during daytime, saving you a lot on energy consumption.

Maybe a chandelier for the dining are will be good, just a small one. I think it's not very good to have glaring lights in the dining area. Reserve those heavy duty lights for the kitchen.

our dining area has a chandelier that's not too big and gives off a not-too bright light, making the atmosphere more relaxing and intimate.
