My HTB propose to me on our anniversary trip to a small island in Batam.

He said that he saw some coupon online and get for our anniversary but refuse to disclose the exact location.
At the end we still had to travel by sapan to a very ulu island for our vacation.
That night, he arranged for a candle light dinner on the beach, saying that even thought we are on a budget trip, we should enjoy ourselves on our anniversary.
We talk quite a bit about our future, what type of couple we would like to be when we married.
Suddenly, during our dessert, there is a firework appear in the sky, as the island is very ulu and dark, the firework is very pretty with the stars.
Before I knew it he was on his knee with the ring.
I must thanks him for his effort for the proposal.

My htb proposed to me on our anniversary this yr which falls on April's Fool. I was still at work that day and he's on shift work, assuming that our anniversary would be nth special but work, i didnt thot much of it except alittle disappointed.

At abt 3pm++ he msg me saying he'll meet me at the entrance when i knock off and i was so surprised and said ' u better dont put mi plane or else you will 死的佷傪.

In the end he was a little late as smt crop up at the last min. He doesnt drive but came with his friend's car. Then told me will bring me somewhere to celebrate our anniversary. Otw there he suddenly go to a petrol kiosk to wash the car. I say aiyo u shld have done that before you come mah.

Then i realized after that, he's trying to stall for time to wait for his friend to be ready at the venue. He drove through AYE after that to the direction to Raffles Marina. (Haha to add on smt funny, halfway to the journey he asked if i am sitting on smt, i was like eh i am make of flesh i will feel it if i sit on smt and replied i am not blind lei before boarding the car i can see one lor.) Actuali its a stalk of rose. But then he remembered wrongly as he has left it at the back of the car.

Finally, we arrived at Raffles Marina Yacht Club, i thot we were be having dinner at the captains' table so i wanted to walk there. Then he hold my hands and walk further down to the dock and then up to the yacht! OH MAN i was surprisingly shocked and haha i keep asking him how much? isit expensive?? Lol

Finally theres a part he brought me upstairs to the yacht and showed me a video clip which he did it himself showing photos of us together and at that point, tears started to flow down and i was v v nervous and my heart is like almost jumping out from my mouth. (As if i am the one proposing? :p) Then he kneel down on a knee and his friend from behind pass him a bouquet of flowers then he "POP" the question!

I really appreciate him for his efforts and $$$$ spent! (After that keep pestering him abt the cost of the yacht, but still refused to tell me as i will sure NAG at him!)

THE END! ^.^

Haha, aquarius84, same as you, I also pester my HTB about how much does individual thing costs throughout the whole night. My HTB thinks that I am weird but I will appreciate more if the guy know how to do thing right at the right price, that shows he puts in effort in researching and prepare for our future.

Mine was a simple yet memorable one. :)

It was @ Bali, Ku De Ta Beach Bar on Xmas Eve 2011. He told me to dress up nicely as the Beach Bar has dress code. I did not think much and just pick a simple dress and dress up on the xmas eve. We rented a car with driver and when I alight at the beach bar, the driver handed over something to my HTB. And he handed over to me and say “Merry Xmas!!” I was surprise already…. Cause we had already mentioned that there wont be any xmas gift this year. :) I feel so sweet by then…. When I reach the beach bar, the scenery was damn nice!!

Then, I told him I wanna go ladies. So when I walk back to our table, I notice the waiter is on standby holding on my HTB's camera. And I thought he wanna take photo with me, so I shift the chair towards his direction (as im seating diagonally towards him) and pick up my sunglass and put it on and say “okay lets take a photo here”.

I was waiting for the waiter to say “1,2,3”. But he didn’t.. Yet I can see his “I wan to laugh look”. I feel so weird already… then I notice on the table there is a Tiffany & Co box. He ask me to open it… And that’s when he start to kneel down and propose to me….

OMG……………. I was crying at that moment, but I was putting on sun glass so, expression was covered!! Hahaha….

My HTB asked me whether should he display the short video proposal to our guest. I hesitated as i really look so “kuku” in the video!! Lol….

I had a long distance relationship with my Brit husband and we often had to travel to both UK and Singapore a few times a year just to see each other. My proposal took place in London in May 2010.

When I arrived at Heathrow Airport on 15th May 2010 (my husband's birthday so it was a specially planned trip to celebrate with him), I was badly jet-lagged and was feeling grouchy especially when he came late to pick me up. Best of all, he came with a bouquet of chrysanthemums which I wasn't too impressed with. Not romantic at all :(

As we arrived at our apartment, I was greeted by a tremendous surprise as I opened the door. The floor was lined with stalks of red roses and red paper hearts which he had cut out himself. Even the bed was nicely decorated with roses and paper hearts all laid in a heart shape in the middle. There was a table with cutleries, candles and roses properly set out. A lap top was playing romantic love songs in the background. I also saw fresh ingredients on the kitchen counter top and realised he was going to cook dinner for me. He prepared chicken with ricotta cheese & bacon with mediterranean roasted vegetables. The chicken was quite tasty even though I don't usually eat chicken breast meat but it was flavourful with the cheese and bacon. It was a lovely romantic dinner, however, as I was so tired after my flight, I barely ate and crawled into bed and left him alone at the dinner table.

I woke up at 2.30am, feeling hungry and looking for a bite. He then served me apple crumble which he prepared earlier. While I was seated at the sofa eating the crumble and chips, he said he had a present for me and presented me with a scrapbook. I was very impressed with the work done as it was the first time he gave me a hand-made personalised present. The scrapbook detailed our journey from 2004 to 2010...how we met, when we first declared our love to each other, our first kiss, the inevitable break up and the reunion in Bali, Indonesia...the fate between us and of course the miracle :) As I read till the second last page, then I finally had an idea what the real message was. As I turned to the last page, he knelt down and opened a box with a diamond ring...the last page read "Will you marry me?" I was stunned and shocked and I couldn't utter a word until many seconds later, I just gave a scream (in the middle of the night!). Of course, I said YES :)

And we got married in Dec last year. Everything fell in place nicely for both of us :)

My fiancé proposed to me on Good Friday, 22 April 2012. He asked to to join him to support a foreign movie event in the evening as it is part of his job as a PR consultant. We went to the Screening Room at Ann Siang Road. There was a poster indicating that there will be a screening of a foreign film. When we reach the room, it was all dark like a movie theater and the film started rolling. There were trailers of Cars 2, Transformers etc which coincidentally were our favourite movies, Then his face pop up in the 'movie' and for a second, I thought he was being interviewed as part of the 'mover & shaker' behind the film. I heard some familiar giggles in the crowd and I realised the crowd were actually our friends! In the 'film', he begins talking about how we met, dated and got together. The 'film' is actually a video montage done by him weeks prior to the proposal day! The montage showed pictures that we have taken before we got into our relationship and after, and in between the pictures, there were also video of our friends giving compliments and blessings to us as a couple. :) After the video ended, he got down on a knee and pop the question. :)

awwwwwwwwwwww~so sweet !

My bf proposed me on a V-day.

We had a great afternoon outing.
In the evening, he brought me to a seaside restaurant.
It was beautifully decorated, and there were red carpet for all couples.
We had steak and champagne. But during dinner, he suddenly walked towards my seat, and kneel down.

My face was blushing, and there were butterflies in my stomach. I knew what he is gonna do.
After I accepted his proposal, I quickly asked him to stand out and get seated. I was so shy..
Once he got to his seat and we are about to continue our dinner, suddenly there were fireworks (from malaysia)
How lucky !

LOls, moreover I didnt finish my dinner.. I was too full (of butterflies)
And keep admiring my ring :p

It was really a perfect day.
We ended a night at Kbox which they had valentine package. :X

One afternoon, my boyfriend called me and invited me to go on a picnic with him, which came really as a surprise for me since he's not the picnic kind of guy. We went to the park and ate the food he prepared (which he insisted that he made them himself) and then we went stargazing while lying down beside each other (just talking and holding hands) when he suddenly looked at me and sighed. I asked him if there's something wrong and he said that we can't stay like this. I asked him what he meant and he nervously told me we can't stay as boyfriend and girlfriend. I thought he was breaking up with me so I cried. He suddenly panicked when I cried (his face was really funny and I would've laughed if I wasn't bawling my eyes out) and started explaining that that's not what he meant. He gingerly brought out a little velvet box and told me he can't keep me as his girlfriend because he badly wants me as his wife. I ended up crying even more and saying yes while punching the hell out of him. :)

my hubby proposed on the same day that we became bf and gf. :D he had it all planned but one of my friends accidentally told me but i still pretended that i did not know. he took me to the place where we first met, our high school campus. it was actually obvious that he's nervous and anxious but i just pretended that i did not notice. the surrounding was really dark and i was a bit disappointed at first because of the setting but floating lanterns started to light up and i was really amazed of the beautiful scene since it was my first time seeing floating lanterns in the sky. i did not even notice that he already knelt holding a gold box. i actually cried before he could even ask me the most important question. we're already married for 10 years now. :)
