How to plan with tight budget?

Anyone has any tips to share for planning a more affordable wedding banquet. For mine, i intend to hold it in a Chinese restaurant to cut costs and lunch banquet. probably will be ard 15 tables since me and my partner doesnt have much relatives.

any other tips to offer?

Thank you everyone for your feedback. Have done some shopping and research around for packages, but on the general, i find that in Singapore, things are expensive. Unless i am able to have many helpers/jiemei/xiongdi to help out with the decorations and decorations, otherwise, there's quite a lot of things to plan and manage. haizz...

I'm considering whether to follow some of the modern brides who choose not to take up the bridal studios package and instead purchase off-the-rack nice dresses from ZARA/Warehouse.

You are thinking right. Nice choice in affordable budget. But Instead of lunch, decorations, shopping etc. there are many other things which you need to decide. You need to arrange the guest gifts and their comfort. Did you think about it?

Shubhankar313, indeed its very impt to think abt their comfort etc... but i think, the wedding favors and ambience is just for show only. for me, as long as everyone is in a comfortable environment with chairs to sit down, it shld be sufficient. probably i am a different type, coz i m against the wedding vendors out there who are out there to squeeze the money out of you. so wedding favor i intend to give something that is basic simple and affordable. most important, i will focus on the guest experience and enjoyment. other than that, i rather have it simple =)
