uhmm.. anyone here in a relationship with someone they just met online?

im chatting with this guy for 3months now and we decided to meet in hongkong, he's an australian by d way. Im worried because its our first time we meet and we might end up being awkward with each other.

how did you handle the awkwardness? and did it work right away?

I think the awkwardness at first is normal, imagine going on a 1st date. But you should see some effort from the guy is he really want to work things out with you.

that's scary though.. imagine meeting up with someone you've never met before in a new place. are you sure your going to that trip?

It's actually common nowadays to meet new guys online ... just be sure to be vigilant on the 1st date & use it as a opportunity to test him also..

If you're happy about this blooming relationship, then see where the breeze will take you.

It's hard to have regrets in the future :D

I think you should get to know him better, like details on personal history & the like.

It's the best way to know someone truly esp. if you only met him online!

I'm lucky we sort of hit it right when we started talking. Just don't pretend to be someone ur not just for the other to like you!

I am in the same boat but I am in love with my guy... its extremely difficult...if you are truly meant to be then you find a way to make it work. There are times when I think I can't handle the distance(which is 1.5 hrs away) but then I think of how he treats me and I realize that its worth it.

I'm not sure how long you have been seeing him but love doesn't happen overnight. Just spend the time you can together, talk on the phone and after some time if its still not what you want then cut the ties. Keep the lines of communication open. You have to being so far away.

I hope this has helped you. I have been stuggling with this same thing. Funny giving someone else advice has actually given me a little clearity as well. Thank you.

I guess you have to work with shaking off the awkwardness between you two in person (it's normal, so don't worry) just try to get the convo going and be yourself. That's the most important part!

It'll be awkward for sure since it's the first time you two will meet in person but shrug the awkwardness off :) Give it time, it'll be natural
