i just want to vent out and maybe hear from you guys how to deal with parents who wants to be involve so much in wedding planning.

my parents wants something that my in-laws do not like.. im really close t thinking of just eoping with my fiance and just get married somewhere far away from everyone. I need advices guys.. :(

how am i going to deal with them? how to deal with this situation?

maybe consider something from both sides... but not as significant as the venue of your wedding. Perhaps the decors or flowers you can consider from both sides so parents dont feel neglected.

you should talk. all of you, including your fiance. Im sure your parents and in-laws will come in the same terms.

had d same prob with parents too. all we did was just go with what me and my hubby wants. we did not update parents of the planning coz its our wedding anyway.

yeah i believe with everyone here.. u shud talk this out with the parents.. im sure the parents will understand ur decsions.

This is only the beginning... when you marry, you don't marry only the entire village... family is always involved in many decisions even after marriage. Have to manage them and strike a compromise I guess

I sometimes think of eloping when things get difficult. But I realise I do wanna celebrate with friends and family, and eloping means I won't get that. Agree with most people here, would be good to talk it out with everyone :) Hope everything is ok!

Keep an open mind and reach out to them in a genuine way. In-laws can be hard to deal with at times, but once you show them you are a mature and understanding person -- they might change their opinion of you.

Talk and reach for a compromise. I honestly don't think there's an easy way out with parents who want to involve in the wedding planning! LOL
