I am back from my photoshoot at La Fatte!
Arriving at TaiChung Station
When I reached Tai Chung HSR(High Speed Rail) Station, someone is there to greet us already with our names in Chinese! (Driver: Peter, Photographer Asst.- Helen) they helped us with our luggage and Peter is very chatty which make us feel very welcomed. (So, you do not need to worry about transfer)
Stepping into La Fatte Bridal
We reached La Fatte Bridal, a four storey building at 12.30pm. we feel like a boss when we step into their shop cuz we will have to walk pass the reception which seats 3-4 ladies.. and all will start greeting! then, we were seated and asked what we want to drink.. like bubble tea, and do we want to have our meals (bian dang). Then they start showing us the bubble tea menu, they said the shop will deliver.. As the day itself is my gown fitting, husband suit fitting and at night we will be travelling to Qing Jing, we may not have time for lunch so my husband and I decided to order meals also but they do not have the menu, so we just said anything.. then in our heart, we were thinking all these meals will be charged to our bill.. as a salesperson, a mark-up is not impossible. Well, all these is not charged. they bare all meals n drinks.. So, please ORDER what you want.. dont worry! hahahas.. my husband and i only ordered 1 drink to share cuz we paiseh! anyway, MOCHA ICE BLEND IS VERY NICE! (chinese: MO KA BING SHA)
Gown Fitting
After meals, gown fitting! Each bride will have an individual gown consultant(mine is : Tong Zhen). They will bring you to a room, an individual room that only you n your husband tgt with the gown consultant. the consultant will bring out whatever you want from another room.. for me, i do alot homework, like taking down pictures of gown I want, the colour, type(tube, toga etc) these will help you in choosing your gowns. you must have smth on hand else it maybe difficult cuz they do not display their gowns. In the room, it may have a rack of gowns but you may not be able to select. bear in mind, designer series is not the highest ranked like what we usually have in sinagpore bridal. their gowns comes in 4 category (normal, designer, VIP and custom made). Don worry if your gowns are of Designer Series, it is beautiful enuf, so dont waste money to top-up. Before you try the gown, ask them if what they gave you is of your package. Mine is Designer Series, but they let me try on gowns that are of VIP (which i didnt know), then later when you really like they tell you is VIP.. for my case, I asked if it can be upgraded free for 1 or 2 gowns.. then they will help you ask the manager.. Gown selection is good as they don rrly chase you.. however you need to keep track of your time as husband suits will be tried in their partner shop which they will drive you over after gown selection, alteration is done immediately(10-15mins). Husband got 3 suits(black, white and 1 other colour(silver, brown)) white shoes are provided by bridal shop. NuBra is at $1980NT(which is SGD 80+), you can always use your own if you have else, buy in G-market less than $10. ( they may say your nubra not good or what, but don worry all can be edited, so don waste money)
MUA/HAIRDO
if your package can allow you to appoint any make-up artist, i highly recommend you "Jing Ru Artist" - English call Mirror. She is very skill in hairdo n makeup.. very quickly done and it is perfect! She is also very sweet, side track abit, during photoshoot got a bit drizzling, she shelter me with umbrella and unzip her jacket to hug me as it is really cold n dry me with her jacket sleeve. Really feel warmth! Well, bringing MUA along cost $270. All MUA have their own make-up room, so you will sit in and tell them what style you want for what gowns and you can also flip thru their magazines.. n tell them what you like. Like I say, have smth on hand necessary! you can always take sample from their website..Or if you trust them with hairdo, then you can just tell them you leave it to them to style. Different MUA will have their own accessories.. like earrings, necklace etc.. it is not own by the bridal but the MUA. So for me, I like long long veil, so i requested and my MUA went to look for it.. and she lend it from other MUA, what you want just request, they will try their best else, they will find smth similar.. OH YA! what broke my pocket is the ampoule! yes, it is $27 per bottle. You must be thinking only 1 or 2 bottles right? you are wrong! it is 8 bottles! total $216, yes jus ampoules. your husband will use 2 bottles (1 ampoule + 1 anti-oil cream) on face, brides will use 2 bottles on face n 4 bottles on body. I brought my own ampoules(those glass type that you need to break) and MUA said that it will hurt face etc etc.. So i tot ok la, only 2 bottles, but end up is 8! you may want to bring extra cash for this. Else, you can opt for no application on body cuz it is rrly waste of money. As photos are taken far and anything can be edited during photoshop, definitely they will tell you later picture not nice la.. million of excuse. Well, you can just be abit firm.. i am silly of not thinking about it that time.. also, they will also ask you to buy a make-up kit (consist of 1 sponge for face make-up, 1 brush for lip, 1 sponge for body touch up) @ 300NT each. they will ask you buy another pack for husband, you do not need to. you just tell them you n your husband can share.. so the sponge they will use 2 sides(1 side yours, other side your husband) this help you save abit. Well, if you don mind, you can let them earn
Choose Photos
This is abit tricky! on your package, it may comes with 36 photos for example. but during photo selection, you need to choose at least 2 photos from the same scene. Example, yellow gown at seaside, you need to choose 2or more so that they can do design to your album in a page. So to be exact, if every scene you choose 2 photos, you will only have 18 pages. and if one scene you choose more than 2 then you will have lesser page to your album. So in the end, they will tell you your ablum so thin not nice and all.. end up u will take more pictures. Photo selection goes like this: Run thru all pics at a speed of 4sec( all photos are jumble up, not in sequence, you n your husband can decide what u wan or don want in mind) -> next one coordinator will seat you thru showing you the photos one by one, so you will tell her keep first or delete -> after that they will filter the similar photos (same pose and scene), you will then choose the best of the few similar ones -> then, they will assume that the remaining photos are the ones you like, they will tell the manager to come over to calculate a package for you. (you will not be able to view again the "Keep First Photos" cuz the manager will kiip calculate a price for you to take up all the remaining photos.. so a tip, if you don like jus delete, don keep first..else you wont be able to keep your money.. hahahas!" but if the price to top up really too high just tell them you wan to review the selected photos to cut down the no. of photos.. My husband & I realised that we did not review the keep first photos after we confirm the top up package.. "Keep First Photos are those you cannot decide want or don want" - So during the 1st viewing, please be firm to make a decision (Delete or Keep dont Hesitate and Keep First). Also, tell the manager your budget n don let them know you got credit card.. (Credit Card = You can afford more). So just bring enuf cash and tell them you only have these much with you, and credit card may have transaction charges too.. after your photo selection, they will send you back to hotel or train station..
Courier to Singapore
We saw a few parcel ready to post back to Singapore and the charge slip. it is USD130 and USD 140.. SO i believe the range is about there.. it is paid upon delivery to your home.
