If you have kids with you, carpeted floors would do good but if you don't have any kids with you yet, tiled floors will be alright.

for me, tiles is better since it's easier to clean.. you can always put on play mats (the ones that can be bought in toy stores) for kids if they wish to play.

I would go for tiles, but the kid's room should be carpeted though. if u wish to carpet d living area, u can always put carpet on a certain portion. I just dont like d idea of d whole house being carpeted.

Tiled floors is much better than carpeted.
Especially if you have pet dogs or cats... they tend to pee anywhere. that wud be very hard to clean if u have carpeted floors.

For me, tiles are easier to clean that carpeted floors, so I'll go for tiles in the living room but I think I'll go for carpeted floors in the bedroom. :D

Do you have kids already? If you have, go for carpets.. It's safer for kids so that they won't slip and hit their head on the hard floor.

It is safer to put carpets if you have got kids at home.
However you can also put playmats are mentioned above.

& carpets are high maintenance. If you were to spill anything on the carpets, you might have a hard time cleaning it. It may even leave stains on it.
Also, carpets do trap dirts/dust, require regular vacuuming.

Thus, i would recommend tiles.

i'd go for carpet since it's much safer for kids. especially when the little ones have already started running and playing around

carpeted floors are best for an accident-free surrounding. it helps avoid accidents especially by children because it does not make the floor slippery.
