Where to buy Bird Cage?

Hi

Does anyone knows where to buy cheap and nice bird cage?

I am consider to have a bird card as ang bao box.

You can get bird cage from those fake flower shops.

Go explore the shopping mall called The Verge. Take escalator to the top. It should be 4th or 5th floor. There's at least 4 to 5 flower shops selling fake flowers, bird cage, vases and all sorts of things.

The Verge is just opposite Tekka Market.

This shop should be quite cheap.. my mom used to shop there..

I think the bird cage idea is getting really common? My HTB went to a wedding yesterday and the couple uses bird cage as their ang bao box too. I still prefer the traditional box kind though!

1. Golden Happiness (For rental or purchase)
2. A small designer shop (in Arab Street)
3. Most of the Floral shops in Singapore
4. Amanda Dreamweaver (in Chinatown)

but how you cover the side of the birdcage so the ang paos don't fall out accidentally? the gap between the metal pieces big enuff for the ang paos to drop out right?

oh no really?! ok i better ask my htb to reconsider. he wants to use a birdcage for our angbao box too.

I have been to the shop personally and enquire. The birdcage with nice wrapping and designs with flowers costs $129. You can infact get a cheaper one at most flower shops. The package are much more nicer and so much cheaper (about $50 to $90) varies with designs and sizes. Hope this helps. Thanks.

There is one florist shop at the basement of The Central at Clark quay selling bird cages too. It's cheaper to decorate it yourself. Should be easy since alot of pple are using that as ang pao box so the magazines are all teaching pple how to decorate it.
Oh a point to note is how many do u need? Cos usually those bird cages not very big and it won't be nice if it's too full and have the Ang pao all protruding out. So might wanna get 2 so when one is filled up you can have the bridesmaid or groomsmen bring up to the room first.

I guess it depends :) If u really like the idea, just go with it. It's still better than normal angbao boxes. Though I dont mind just making my own angbao box.

I read from an online blog that some shops along Arab St have... think it's those shops selling the rattan baskets etc. Around $25 according to the blog post
