Who does more of the wedding preparations?

hello brides, between you and your husband to be, who is the one who does more wedding prep? I would say it's me for now, don't want to bother him much with the nitty gritty details as it will disturb his work. Any brides same as me? :laugh:

quite equal for me. he goes with me to wedding shows, recee hotels, choose gown etc. It's a lot of details to go through but at least now his job is quite stable so we have a bit more free time to do these things. previously when his job was so hectic it was very hard to coordinate details. We want to make our marriage as much about us as possible. :wub:

i'm doing most of the planning myself...HTB will go for shows, hotels, etc etc but not much opinion on anything =/

haha lassymoo, same as me too. htb accompanies me to hotel shows to eat the nice food hahah. For my bridal gowns try out, most of the time he is so bored because it takes quite long to wear the gowns haha. Sit there and play with his ipad :p

So far, im the one who plan almost everything. He's just the driver, the maid, the listener & whatever. As long as it is not overly over-budget, he will say ok.

seems like wedding is more of the girl planning than the guy. quite understandable because it's our dream since young. for me is i do all the research, compile everything and then let him know our appointments to meet the people in charge, then he will just go with me

hahha quite the same as cheesecake and jasmine. i do all the research, compile huge excel sheets, shortlist, then summarize for him to hear and make a decision (sounds like presentation to a boss!). then i make the appointments, he will do the driver's job -- find out how to get there, and drive me there. hehe. well, i'm very blessed that recently he decided to put in a little more effort, and he also joined in the DIY-ing of some stuff, which is nice :) really appreciate and treasure those times, that i take photos of everything to remember every moment of the planning together :)

I plan everything, from research on wedding dates, shortlisting of venue, research on wedding favours and printer of invitation cards & inserts, JPs, outdoor PS location, march-in & montage songs, choosing of PG, MUA and BS coordinator to drafting of AD program & helpers' list of responsibilities. Thank God mine is a small wedding dinner & solemnisation, can't imagine if I would to give in to him to have a big banquet and I have to do everything myself. His job is just to accompany me to recee the venues, look at wedding bands, listen to what I have research. Yes, it's like doing presentation to boss. Sometimes it gets so fustrated when I have to do everything and he just wait. I felt I'm marrying myself. Even on the flat issues I have to do everything.

So far I have assigned him to talk to the hotel manager of my request, call/email my preferred JP. I even told my BS coordinator to call him instead of me LOL.

oh in d past in ur r/s does he push most of the things to u to do?? or is it becoz he wants bigger wedding dinner but u want small one that he might not wan to get involve too much since u din go along his wish?

I insisted to have small wedding because I know he will not do anything. Even when we travel, I do the reseach myself. He didn't push me to do, but knowing he doesn't know how to do reseach, someone has to do the job right? Anyway, he knows me too well. i like to get prepared, don't like last minute thingy. And also, I get to throw my temper at him, he won't argue back. Anyway already told him on the AD, I'm not doing anything. My job is to look pretty :tongue: Is not too much to ask for right?

I guess most guys are bo chup.. I research on the hotels, shortlisted those after excluding those i dun want and out of budget, shortlist 10. Then followed up email the Hotels for site inspection and when its time, my bf will just follow. Even the pre wedding PS also i find then he go with me. Although its tiring but is a happy thing to prepare all this.

ours we pay 50 50 each ... financially and preparation .... but he is more excited then I do ... hahahah

its more like he do research and then do up the proposal and I the approval ... heheheh I think I am just lucky :)

but of course I also do chip in my share of work at times and of course we do disccussion ... not everyting I say is the final hor ... just that I feel he is doing much more then me :p

for me, i did the initial research and sent him the links but we chose and selected everything together. closer to the date, he was the one to arrange everything as i was busy with study and work. :)
