Hi all
I hv my 1st fitting today. MUA is Sher, she is also coordinator together with Alyssa. PG will be Jeffrey but I never met him.
I have tried about 10 gowns today (actual day/evening/tea dress etc). Their gown selections quite OK, some look quite old design (total 3 storeys), both Sher & Alyssa hv already filtered those not suitable for me so those I tried are mostly e designs/color I like. Btw I brought my own heels from Alegra which I will wear on actual day & photoshoot day.
Overall their service are good, friendly and Alyssa is very experienced. There's another couple doing their fitting together with me so space abit cramp and no exclusiveness but no choice. Selection of hand bouquet also plentiful, I gave them a bouquet design I found online and they say they will get their florist to do up a similiar one.
I think the bride really need to try on all the gowns and not through flipping through their selection and make decision. Some gowns don't look nice while hanged up but it is pretty when worn.
Hey all
Just had e 2nd fitting & photo taking session done in May and just wan to share my experience...
Went for the 2nd fitting on a Sunday and Sher (MUA) told me the photographer assigned to me is available and he can come over to have a chat with us, his name is Jeffrey. I believe she said he's nearby at Le Grand studio since they are kind of affiliated to each other. Z & Le grand is just 2-3 unit away from each other....
So he popped by and I don't feel his proactiveness and service oriented. When we suggested places he just say "ok anywhere you wish"....I was abit worried since then. On the actual photoshoot day, we arrived at CL studio at 10am. Makeup, hair will take about 1 hr by Sher. I think the fake eyelash on me is abit too long and perhaps due to lighting effect, I don't look like myself! Btw as u may kw, my package is exclude ampoule & eyelash so I hv to pay Sher in cash on that day. Sher says Jeffrey is one of the most long service photographer with CL team. (well to me, skill is more important than long service)
So Jeffrey arrived at abt 11am to get the props ready. And he hand to me a fresh bouquet of flowers so I tried to strike a conversation with him and said "this flowers looks nice" and he replied to me this golden unforgettable line "yesterday's flower is much nicer" ... ... ... Can I flare up or not?! I dun wan to hurt my mood so I just kept quiet.
So we went through the whole shooting, he will tell us what to do, how to pose and if I don't understand he will demonstrate. Either I don't understand him or his explanation is not fantastic somehow sometimes he sounded unpatient. I regret not voicing that I want more photos taken at that room with black & white tiles so for each spot we took abt 20 mins and left for another spot. So if you girls like that background do rem to voice out to your photographer.
At the end of the day which end ard 5+ we head back to Z studio to unchange. When I enter, there's only one staff there and nobody attend to me as if I know what to do. I have to tell the girl that I want to unchange. She didn't help me at all, luckily I had a fren w me. If I didn't return the ear ring the gal probably won't know too!
Over dinner we felt that Jeffrey overall is OK, just doing his job and completing SOP. Perhaps it is his style that he doesn't feel e need to create a "one day one time" client relationship so we don't interact much. He doesn't ask much abt us in fact he ask nothing, my HTB asked then he says he is from JB and with CL for almost 10 yrs.
I am really not sure how the wedding industry work, and how they grade photographer seniority. In my opinion, if you are a clerk for 10 yrs, then its just 10 yrs of doing a job as a clerk only.
If you check out in Chris Ling website, they are now partnering with not only Z and Le Grand, there's some other bridal boutiques too. So u don't hv to choose to use Z in order to use CL studio. As for photographer, what I understand is that if you wan advanced/senior photographer, extra fee to pay. But then again, are you be able to differentiate/appreciate/tell the difference between junior and senior one? Because after adding effects, they just look the same in our eyes unless you know the art of photograhy. Unless in this industry, paying $3388 and $5888 gives different effects.. then this is the difference.
Going to select our photos in mid June...update by then.
