Hi Hazel,

I have also sign up with Sally recently. As she is the marketing manager, do you know who will be your co-ordinator and MUA? Any recommendations from the other z-wedding brides regarding z-wedding co-ordinators and MUAs?

Heard they have about 4 in-house MUAs and 3-4 co-ordinators...

Hello Jess,
Sally recommended alyssa to me for any appt co-ordination work. I have yet to decide the MUA and Photographer as i'll be taking the pic only late this yr or early nxt yr.. :) when are you takin yours and have u identified ur outdoor location shoots?

Hi Hazel,

I am targeting to take my pic around July, so trying to arrange my first appointment sometime mid may but am not sure who to get for my MUA and Photographer  ... When r u having ur first appointment? do we get to choose the MUA and photographers?

Sally did show me some of the outdoor photo shoots. She recommended Marina Barrage and the "1 tree" venue which was featured in some of the CL photos, kinda idyllic

Alternatively, some of my gal frenz suggesting to choose places meaningful for ourselves and our htb blah...:)

Dear everyone!

I was flipping through the magazine and I felt that their gowns are beautiful! Wanna enquire a little more as my ROM will be this year Nov and my AD will be next year 2012. Would anyone be willing to share their bridal package with me? It will be really helpful for us. Thanking all in advance! :)

My email is lingling_nyeo@yahoo.com.sg

Cheers!

Hi all

I hv my 1st fitting today. MUA is Sher, she is also coordinator together with Alyssa. PG will be Jeffrey but I never met him.
I have tried about 10 gowns today (actual day/evening/tea dress etc). Their gown selections quite OK, some look quite old design (total 3 storeys), both Sher & Alyssa hv already filtered those not suitable for me so those I tried are mostly e designs/color I like. Btw I brought my own heels from Alegra which I will wear on actual day & photoshoot day.

Overall their service are good, friendly and Alyssa is very experienced. There's another couple doing their fitting together with me so space abit cramp and no exclusiveness but no choice. Selection of hand bouquet also plentiful, I gave them a bouquet design I found online and they say they will get their florist to do up a similiar one.

I think the bride really need to try on all the gowns and not through flipping through their selection and make decision. Some gowns don't look nice while hanged up but it is pretty when worn.

Hey all

Just had e 2nd fitting & photo taking session done in May and just wan to share my experience...

Went for the 2nd fitting on a Sunday and Sher (MUA) told me the photographer assigned to me is available and he can come over to have a chat with us, his name is Jeffrey. I believe she said he's nearby at Le Grand studio since they are kind of affiliated to each other. Z & Le grand is just 2-3 unit away from each other....

So he popped by and I don't feel his proactiveness and service oriented. When we suggested places he just say "ok anywhere you wish"....I was abit worried since then. On the actual photoshoot day, we arrived at CL studio at 10am. Makeup, hair will take about 1 hr by Sher. I think the fake eyelash on me is abit too long and perhaps due to lighting effect, I don't look like myself! Btw as u may kw, my package is exclude ampoule & eyelash so I hv to pay Sher in cash on that day. Sher says Jeffrey is one of the most long service photographer with CL team. (well to me, skill is more important than long service)

So Jeffrey arrived at abt 11am to get the props ready. And he hand to me a fresh bouquet of flowers so I tried to strike a conversation with him and said "this flowers looks nice" and he replied to me this golden unforgettable line "yesterday's flower is much nicer" ... ... ... Can I flare up or not?! I dun wan to hurt my mood so I just kept quiet.

So we went through the whole shooting, he will tell us what to do, how to pose and if I don't understand he will demonstrate. Either I don't understand him or his explanation is not fantastic somehow sometimes he sounded unpatient. I regret not voicing that I want more photos taken at that room with black & white tiles so for each spot we took abt 20 mins and left for another spot. So if you girls like that background do rem to voice out to your photographer.

At the end of the day which end ard 5+ we head back to Z studio to unchange. When I enter, there's only one staff there and nobody attend to me as if I know what to do. I have to tell the girl that I want to unchange. She didn't help me at all, luckily I had a fren w me. If I didn't return the ear ring the gal probably won't know too!

Over dinner we felt that Jeffrey overall is OK, just doing his job and completing SOP. Perhaps it is his style that he doesn't feel e need to create a "one day one time" client relationship so we don't interact much. He doesn't ask much abt us in fact he ask nothing, my HTB asked then he says he is from JB and with CL for almost 10 yrs.

I am really not sure how the wedding industry work, and how they grade photographer seniority. In my opinion, if you are a clerk for 10 yrs, then its just 10 yrs of doing a job as a clerk only.

If you check out in Chris Ling website, they are now partnering with not only Z and Le Grand, there's some other bridal boutiques too. So u don't hv to choose to use Z in order to use CL studio. As for photographer, what I understand is that if you wan advanced/senior photographer, extra fee to pay. But then again, are you be able to differentiate/appreciate/tell the difference between junior and senior one? Because after adding effects, they just look the same in our eyes unless you know the art of photograhy. Unless in this industry, paying $3388 and $5888 gives different effects.. then this is the difference.

Going to select our photos in mid June...update by then.

It seems like yr experience with them is not a very fantastic one. I'm thinking if i were to sign up and gotten Jeff, will it be possible to change to another photographer?

Hi olafsnackjp,

I just went for my 1st apptm with z-wedding for the gown selections, can i ask if we have to confirm all selections for AD and PS during that 1st apptm which is just about 4 hrs?! Got a bit stressed out when they kept asking me for confirmations when I could not decide!! Realised I should hv done more "homework" to hv some ideas what I want before attending the 1st fitting apptm..!!

Btw, can share where did you go for your outdoor PS?

Hey mrs_superman

I m not saying Jeff is not good, in fact who am I to say he is not good? All photos look the same in my eyes... Its just that he is not interactive, chirppy or be funny that sort of person. But he's not sloppy in his work. If you gotten Jeff and wanted to change, definitely the coordinator will ask you why so you must be able to defend yourself.

Hi jesscml

Usually 1st fitting will need to confirm on all e gowns so that alterations can be made b4 your 2nd fitting which is usually few days b4 your photoshoot day. So u c, the timing is quite tight. Ya I took abt 4 hrs too, from 1pm and I left 4+ but I manage to decide all the gowns that time. Firstly because I chose Z because of the actual day wedding gown so on the 1st fitting as long as I can fit in and it suit my image & style, I chose that gown already.

Then for evening gown and short skirt, they hv filter out unsuitable ones so mostly the range they gave to me are accordin to my style. Well you kw, they are so experienced veterans in this industry that perhaps from your body shape, your looks, image, the way you speak you dress, they can tell what sort of person you are...and they kw wat to show to you during fitting time.

Indeed very impt to do homework prior fitting. In fact do homework for each section from fitting to photograph pose/location/makeup etc etc... don't be like me, too slack in the end dun hv a pleasant experience.

Outdoor I go to changi for sunset & alexandra park

Hey all

Didn't expect my long posting to hv such response, I guess I commented quite negatively abt Z & Jeffrey and being women, can be quite undecisively just by reading forums.

Well I had a chat w my HTB and he's saying overall experience is OK, he's doing his job well and didn't shortchange us etc etc. Perhaps since day one I sign up w Z, e attitude I portray is quite "chin cai" everything also OK, not much ideas that's why I gave e impression tat other ppl can decide for me. So eventually when I started to hv ideas, its already too late becoz all is done.

So to prevent such cases from happening again, I urge all brides to do homework (be lazy and you'll be like me) so that when u go for your appt with Z or other bridal studios, you must voice it out even though they may outspoken you! For photoshoots, if u hv particular pose/theme u wan to capture, always inform them early.

Whatever it is, always voice out..don't be like me, everything ok ok and in the end.... here I am.

Also, my HTB says we haven't even seen e photos yet and shouldn't give Z & Jeffrey a dead conclusion now. So till then... I will post to this thread in mid June. Cheers.
