Guess there are always 2 sides on a coin... the gd thing about z-wedding in my opinion is they do have alot of wedding gown selection, however this can become bad when I become indecisive of which to confirm..! Actually, hv to admit as woman I keep wanting to try more and more gowns especially when u see someone else having their fitting as well, haa... but eventually i decided to shortlist and narrow them down but as I went for my first fitting with my HTB only and him being the standard guy whose comment is "ok as long as I like it" I had some difficulties deciding "the one" wedding gown for my AD. Fortunately, my co-ordinator is rather nice enough to hold the 2 reservations for me while I arrange to come down within the next couple of days with my gal frenz for final confirmation!

In short, i think its gd to get your gal frenz for the 1st fitting for another opinion unless u gals are very sure of wat wedding gowns u wanna get..

Hi all,

I signed up with z'wedding design for a package price of $3388. Had my first gown fitting two weeks back.

The time scheduled for me was four hours. However, i got really tired after two hours and only managed to confirm two gowns. Went back again the second time to complete my gown selection.

The ladies who attended to me were pretty helpful giving me suggestions and ideas in my gown selection process.

When i sign up their package, we were promised all together 6 outfits (including my own set of casual outfits) and 3 man suits for photography. However, they had failed to write it down properly in their own copy! we only managed to select 2 man suits and 5 gowns. The lady told me that perhaps 6 outfits is not possible as we may not have sufficient time to change? So i can't bring my own outfit unless i forgo one of the gown. They also failed to note that we had agreed on 3 man suits for photography.. We are still in the process of negotiation and making sure that we are not short changed based on our agreed terms.. Did anyone of you face similar situations?

Hi ck84, I had almost signed up for 4288, at the shop. However I decided to try my luck during the wedding and travel fair at 3688. Both offers are similar except that 4288 includes 2 mtm for me while the later don't. So in the end 4288 might be a better rate if u decide on mtm dresses.

Just a general advice to make sure they write everything that was agreed down in their copy! :mellow:

My package is also 5 outfits for btb & 3 outfits for htb. Does your 5 outfits include ur AD gowns? Thot I remember it's an option that u can choose or not choose the AD gowns for PS? In short, if choose 5 excluding AD will mean 7 outfits in all isit?

Btw, any z-wedding btb has comments regarding their provisions of accessories to go w the gowns? Or r u gals getting ur own??

Hello BTBs! any Z wedding brides here? Considering them for my bs.. How are they like?

Their gowns are normal but the package is very expensive because of the brand - Chris Ling photography. You may consider it even you really like their gowns selection and design. Most importantly is you like their selection and service because you are the main star of the night! Hope this helps. Thanks!

Yup I signed up at the fair cos after some thinking, I think I don't need mtm dresses. Further the 4288 package does not seem to provide me a lot of perks though it is pretty good deal for mtm dresses after I signed up, I realize what is most important is the number of photos they offered. This is the only thing any bridal shop can earn on top of ur package for z wedding I think 105/pose is really quite expensive and this is the only thing I worried for

I found out later that transportation for outdoor shoot is not included.. photo wise i didn't get any good deal as well, only 30pages with 30 poses is urs the same? and my pose was quoted at 115 instead..

Hi ck84, I have relooked at my contract, it's 115 nett instead of 105 nett per pose. So how much is the package u signed up?
I got 33 poses for my photoshoot. Yours is one pose one page, not digital (meaning a few poses within a page?)

Any btbs know what is the average number a couple will choose from a photoshoot? I heard from my friends that they had a hard time choosing and ended up choosing 50+ 60 poses and topping up an additional 2-3K.

How is the additional photos package from z wedding? Anyone can sharE?

As for the other freebies like bridemaid and best man jacket and ROM package tt was also included, if I do not want it not sure they can swop for wedding car or not...

By the way, I realised their CL studio is at Orchard rd, so if my makeup is done at zwed BS, do i have to travel myself to Orchard for studio photo session? then pay again for my transport for outdoor shoot? these are all hidden cost

went to z wedding last fri for a 2.30pm appointment. when i stepped in, there was no space available to sit down at and i was not served until 20 minutes later after approaching the receptionist to let her know that i am still awaiting someone to see to me. the whole place was bustling and crowded but the staff there told me it is usual on weekends. they gave a limitation of 3 dresses to try (both bridal and evening gowns) and i was told that even tho' u reserve the dress and place a deposit, they may still rent it out in btwn to another couple who wants the dress beforehand. service staff were all malaysians and spoke mostly in chinese...altho' the lady who attended to me was quite friendly, patient and nice after the initial hiccup of me waiting for 20 mins cos the staff that was supposed to attend to me went to attend a walk-in customer (defeats the purpose of making an appointment if u ask me), will not be returning as i do not want to be fighting with the crowds there on weekends if i come and do my fittings, etc. place to try gown was also really cramped and other girls that were there were gossipping and looking at whatever you were wearing. dun feel that the service was personalized.

I don't think they allow to swap to wedding car, after all a car is much more expensive.
Are you asking abt makeup for photo session? All U need to do is meet at CL studio on tat day, the make up artist will be there to do your makeup.

Hi all

I've done my photo selection last weekend and tot of dropping by to say Hello! My appt @ 5pm on a Sunday and it's quite crowded...If I'm not wrong I think I saw Chris Ling himself at Z studio with another couple also choosing their photos. Previously I was told CL himself only do overseas shooting...maybe a big client so can give personal attention

Anyway one staff attended to me and showed me a stack of ~150 photos (5-6 poses with 20 backgrounds). For the first round we did a quick browse and removed those doesn't look good eg I look fat/close my eyes....the staff was a sweet talker, kept on saying I look very pretty, chose the correct gown and very matching on me etc etc.... Anyway I wasn't taken in.

The second round the actual photo consultant Louise come over to attend me after her client left. She separated the photos into main gown, tea dress, evening gown & casual dress category so we can select easier. Again sweet talker but I ignore her heehee.... She also say the photographer said we are an easy going couple, he is comfortable with us. Dunno true or not, just listen with a pinch of salt.

By 7pm we're tired and went out for a quick dinner and discussion. Our package is 30 poses i.e 30 photos which can make up to 10-11 pages in a album. So we decide to remove away those duplicates for example evening dress shot in Victorian background & flowers background, we remove the entire series. Then if there's similarities in poses we also compare and remove one. Then I like the black & white tiles so I keep 5 photos in the background for my main gown.

It's indeed tiring and finally we managed to choose all 30 photos, each background abt 3 poses. It's going to be a thin album but as you're aware, every additional photo is $115 which is costly. There's a moment we had 50 photos so the extra 20 cost $3000! Well Louise was quite frank, she ask what is our direction for our marriage preparation. So my HTB told her we want a simple wedding and we don't mind a thin album so she didn't press on to ask us to top up for the album. It was indeed very difficult to choose as there's quite a few good ones which I like to keep.

Don't be compelled to top up if you don't want to, bcoz it is only during the actual day where your guests will flip through it and forget after tat. For that 5-10 mins of flipping, who will remember if you have thin or thick album? But of course if your idea of marriage is to have alot of memories, then by all means select more photos.

You are very disciplined, yes u are right, if we insisted not to top-up there’s nothing they can do… But the way, just to check with you why is it add’l of 20 photos comes up to $3k, which is $150/picture? I tot per picture is $115 inclusive of poses and pages? is there add'l hidden cost involved? Does your packages include hot-pressed? Meaning picture flow nicely from 1 page to another, without the ugly divider in the middle?

My package's $3388 as well but ended up topping up till close to $7k coz they only gave me 30 pics. Did not opt for CL studio as got to top up for $500, not what I was told when I signed up at the roadshow few years back. Yes, Z wedding does have nice gowns but they're rather limited. I requested to have Le Grand gowns but it's not allowed eventhough they are sister companies. Photoshoot was done by CL's disciple, personally I feel that the whole session was pretty rush and we only took limited photos.
Experience was ok, but not exactly great or what I expected. Photos are so-so only.
