Wedding banquet at Qian Xi

Qian Xi lou experience!!

Hi all,

Anyone held their wedding at Qian Xi lou before? I am going to held it at there, how is the food, enviroment. Please share...

hello Lonelycat, I attended a wedding there about 2 years ago. The food was VERY good, but I can't say so for the service. It's not major rude or anything but basically the servers are mostly aunties in their 40s to 50s and they serve with a black face.
the setup is pretty dated though, not much of a theme to speak about..

Other than that, the food was very impressive. Hope this helps :)

Hi all, I'm considering to book Qian Xi for my wedding banquet year2012.
But not sure which ball room is good. Any recommendation?

Bliss garden? The one at Expo. The ballroom is very nice with high ceiling and pillarless. My parents comment that the food is good. You can take a look.

Hi melo and Joemin! Thanks for giving comments. Think we have only 15-20 tables so can't held dinner for the Expo coz think Expo min 25 or 35 table. I noe there's about 8 location to choose but not sure which ball room is good. Worry lei.. Have u all heard about PinSi restaurant? Seems not bad oso.. My concern is nice food, budget 500++ to 700

Joy (Jurong) - 15 to 130 tables

Bliss (expo) - 20 to 100 tables
Hilltop (Bukit Batok West) - 20 to 62 tables
Qian Xi - Farrer Park - 20 to 57 tables
Qian Xi - Paya lebar - 32 to 100 tables

1 very important thing that one of my relatives remind me is the location, is it accessible by your guest by public transport? Is it easy to find a parking lot?

Ya.. Parking lot and accessibility oso one of my concern. tat's why have o think properly before make decision.. Thanks for ur helpful info ^_^

I booked the Ballroom B at first for 25 tables. After which my tables increase to 30 tables hence there will be no extra tables.
I called Suzanna, she is very kind and helpful. She let me used the Crystal Ballroom with 33+2R tables. In the end I have 34 tables.
They super helpful, due to sudden increase of tables, I emailed them I do not have enough invitation cards, straight away they help me print.
My guests are full of praise for the food and generous free flow of hard liquor, beer and red wine.
The ballroom is very nice.
Really love their service and their food.
For the parking my guest encounter problems as there is another wedding going on at the same time.
But I do cater shuttle bus for my guest.
My package is $718 per table :)

i just booked mine at expo last week. =0 the dates in 2013 they say filling fast. haha.. coz couples now want budget.. lucky i booked.. if not later dont have ah!

i find their food quite good. i decided on qian xi coz i just attended a birthday dinner by my uncle there.

but if u got many tables, u can consider farrer park diamond ballroom. its damned damned nice. too bad my tables not enough.. =( if not i sure take it.

i took up expo qian xi for my AD. advice u, if u wan qian xi gotta do it fast.. coz they fill up slots very fast de.

hi all, i am planning for my wedding on may 2014, any review on qian xi? i am looking at the one at mount faber under summer i think.. do share thanks! :wub:
