Hotel Fort Canning (HFC) Wedding Banquet

:wub: Tadah... I am 2012 BTB and booked the wedding banquet with HFC. Anyone have booked the banquet with HFC? Let's share our preparation here. By the way, for those who doesn't please feel free to share with me what is your first impression on the hotel?

I have never attended any banquet there. So, I don't know how is my guests impression on the hotel.

My HTB and I are also considering HFC for our wedding dinner early next year. went down yesterday but no sales staff was ard to attend to us..:( got to make another trip down i guess.. so when's ur big day? u having a chinese dinner? ours is going to be an international buffet..Glad to find someone who also booked this same venue..:)

I am considering HFC too. I have been wanting to see how their ballroom looks like though, how long is the walk in? I have only attended an outdoor wedding there. :)

Enquired abt the place n met the coordinator. Didnt even took down my queries as he forgot abt our appt. Didnt reply my queries as well.

Anyway, didnt consider this place since the coordinator is unprofessional n dun thinl will get any gd service frm him.thereafter.. nice recep area thou the ballroom is a let down with no proper spotlight for the stage..even those ulu restaurant also have some form of spotlight

would you be able to share with me the name of the coordinator?
i interested to look at their place, so hoping i won't get any unprofessional coordinator.

Have attended wedding dinner there, both indoor and outdoor, before their makeover. Agree with marchiz, reception area is nice, but ballroom is so-so. Don't like the wide orientation, cos personally i would prefer a long ballroom instead

went down to take a look at the ballroom yday, the hotel and the rooms was really nice, but the ballroom was such a let down. even the big ballroom has no proper chandelier. :(

any feedback ontheir food?

I think you (Giftgalz) are right. I attended a friend's wedding in 2010, was still known as Legends at that time, i cannot even see what is happening on the stage and the staff even spilled some sauce on my friend's shirt.

Hi lishan, i am a 2013 btb with HFC.
I actually sign up with them cause i fell in love wit the reception and the uniqueness of the hotel - in terms of the location and the theme. With that said, I also agree with you that the ballroom is kinda boring, especially the lightnings. Hopefully they can change something about it.
But overall, I still like the hotel and given all my requirements ($$, perks, uniqueness etc), this hotel fits my bill :)
As for the food, I personally find it so-so only when I went for their wedding show about a year back. They have some interesting canapes though.

Just my humble opinion for btbs who are interested in hfc. It seems like they hold wedding shows twice a year and given that they are so new in the industry that most people doesn't know about this hotel, it might be good to wait till their wedding show before signing up with them to get more perks. just my 2cents :)

Hi genyib, i am interested to sign up with them too ... wow you booked very early!!! may i know what were the things you managed to negotiate for during the show? also, did you get their outdoor area for solemnization? :)
