I've got a $300 VIP Discount Card for Cangai Wedding Dress Package. Got it from them when I visited their BS at Tanjong Pagar. Will not be using as I have signed up with other BS.

Your actual day gowns , bridemaids dresses and jackets for father and groom is from Singapore local branch? Does your package include the rental of car, car decoration and the flower and etc?

hi confettis, thanks for your kind reply. I have went there before and if you didn't make appointment with them, they won't entertain you actually and have to go back with disappointment. I haven't sign any package with them yet. Still wait for the road show see whether they can offer better package.

was trying to PM u but i guess i can't since i'm a newbie here. was going to ask u about ur taiwan package. i'm having some problems with cang ai regarding the taiwan package n i was wondering if u experienced the same thing. long story short, i went to the bridal twice. earlier when i was just asking about package n price, second when i decided i wanted to take their package. however, the 2nd time i went, they told me that if i take the pre-wedding photo in taiwan, i would need to develop the pics there, which will cost me extra, depending on how many pictures, also shipping cost to send the album from taiwan to sg. was that the case with you as well? they never mentioned it to me when i went there at the 1st time. they just said the price already includes the pre-wedding and that i can even do it in taiwan since they have a branch there. so i'm a bit upset now abt the additional cost since it wasn't disclosed previously =( help! anyone else taking cang ai taiwan package can give me feedback? thanks in advance

Hi balletbee, I understand that you went to Kenting for your PS, did Cangai allow you to choose between Taipei and Kenting? Im going to Taiwan for my PS also either this or next year and I'm trying to decide where to go. Thanks!
Apologies for the late reply. Yes you can choose between Taipei or Kenting. Depends on your preference. I like the sea and nature more so i chose Kenting. Also it is a place where i won't go second time because its so far! With the private van and everything, at least i kill 2 birds with one stone! *LOL*

hi imelda, i also went there to enquiry my ROM package, at first they just introduce me their ROM dress and start to talk their package and didn't tell me there is a charges for MUA transport 2 ways. And the second time while i visited them at Suntec roadshow while i want to sign their ROM package, they just told me that I have to pay additional for fake eyelashes, ampoules and MUA transport. We have already intended to sign with them so no choice lah I think. I think you just ask them more about their charges detail and write down on your invoices as a proof, just in case they overcharge you on that day.

Hi melo, I have a colleague who ever sign up with Taiwan's bridal shop before but it is not from Singapore. They are quite smart actually because they were going on their F&E Taiwan tour holidays and they just happened to see a lot of bridal shops over there which she believed it is for their local couples. To her surprise, the shop owner was very surprised but pleased to see overseas couples visiting that place. They went around the area and visited many bridal shops to do a comparison. To her surprise, almost all shops gave better package (which means cheaper) with more perks than in most Singapore's bridal shops including Cang Ai or Bluebay etc. Therefore, instantly she signed up her package for about $5000 (which is about $2.5K only) -- but with a lot of perks that you cannot bargain or get in Singapore here!!! Her actual photoshoot took place about 2 days later which is very fast for them. So on the 2nd day, she went to the shop to select her gowns/suits and trial make-up, locations will be suggested by the PG. The 3rd day she took her photos and the place she went were indeed very nice as what she mentioned and have no regrets signing over there, just that it is quite rush. Now when she heard that I have signed up with 2 packages in Singapore, she was telling me if she ever know about my case, she would definitely suggest me going over to Taiwan and have my whole bridal photoshoot there which is cheap, fun, good and most importantly treat it as a pre-honeymoon holidays lolz!
Personally, I visited Cang Ai once and the saleslady was very pushy and aggressive. Even we were only considering the package, she used words that sounded mean which made us think she was looking down on couples. My boyfriend & I got fed up and went off then. To me I think their gowns are ok but very traditional and "so" princess-like that I do not like it at all. They were very well-preserved though. Do give it a consideration if you like to visit them or if you like to try go Taiwan to venture on your own just like what my colleague did. But always remember to scout, look, compare and decide before making the final decision ok?! Have fun dear, hope this helps alittle. Cheers!

Imelda, my photos are going to develop in Singapore. Unless the ablum cover u wanted only available in Taiwan, then it has to be develop in Taiwan. Otherwise it can be done locally. So no need to pay for freight cost.
But the editing part of the photos are quite long, it take them about 1 month to finish editing. After that they show u, then if u wan to edit, it take them another 1 month. My photo still not yet develop, as in the mid of "editing" process.
Personally I felt that the sale persons for both Taiwan and Singapore are very friendly and not pushy.

Here is my review of cang ai which i have sign a package with them. For their package i think it is very expensive because it cost $4000++SGD with only 30 photo, 6 bride car, 4 wedding grown for photo shoot, actual day 3 wedding grown, 2 suit for guy for photo shoot, actual day 1 suit. For bride's maid per dress i need to pay $50SGD for washing. I have my photo shoot day in kaoshiong taiwan on June 8. The staffs in kaoshiong is very friendly and helpful. As what mostly taiwan girl are. The service is good but for bridal grown the choice is not alot bec some of the dress might be taken for other people photo shoot. And the top few beautiful grown u need to pay extra and cost around $500SGD++ to $1K SGD. As for guy suit if you are not small size guy don't think about have nice suit to wear. For middle size guy is hard for u to get a nice suit. If those oversize good luck to you. Guy suit i would say it is limited. Which make me very unhappy because they told me what i pay for is for the service and their own desgin grown. So where is my service when i have limit suit to choose. For the photo shoot is good. The weather was good on that day and the cloud all was very nice. It is good to go taiwan for a photo shoot and they really know how to take picture but u must have the right photographer. Cang ai photographer is good. Hope all this will help you. Hope you ladies don't be like me too rush to make decisie. But for quality cang ai do have quality but quanity wise no for photo. I spend around $630SGD for extra 16 photo.
