Btw, natashalim, i didn't get more perks than what was given during the roadshow, just free solemization room and additional wine at $20 nett.

What i just feedback is based on own experience, i do hope to get along with each other and to show respect for each other when viewing their opinions.

between, my sis wedding was like S$800 nett per table for ard 25 table in Jan 11. She booked in 2010 and perks include free flow wine and beer!I do not know how she can get that gd price and it is on a sat, 22 Jan. Well, i did consider Amara when i saw the price but when i enquire and check with Amara, it wasnt that cheap anymore..sign..

Hi godbirdie, well i just find it funny why you have to repost your sister experience again after you have posted it before. I just find it really strange and have no idea why you did this.

Well i think we should get along. :)

anyway, i attended my bff wd there too, last time packages was so much cheaper, asked them why, and they said hotel always increase prices, and i asked if can give me the promotion price as before, but was rejected.. btw i really like the poolside, anyone got it complimentary? cos now need to pay 400 right??

Hi natashalim,i just hope anyone of you dun face the same problem again as my sis, cos my sis was actually furious we didnt not tell her else she would have use it to negotiate for lower price. No one want this, esp at VIP table with my elders.if anyone of u face this, dun be like us, take pic and report to the manager. (touch wood). To be frank, i had unpleasant experience with my coordinator at M hotel, which later change.

like i said, Amara was really cheaper back then, but has since increase price comparable to M Hotel which is just opp. the only thing that you just bargain is free flow of wine and beer, cos that is the killer cost if ur guest continue...M hotel did not have free flow for my case when i sign up, which i later found out in later BOWS, they included in free flow.

natashalim, for m hotel,i took Banquet suite cos exclusive floor.the cons is that is u -shaped march, so still not as good as straight long march in. I earlier took Anson rm, but change after feeling low ceiling and more than conference rm. Requested for red carpet but sad to say, it is chargeable in M hotel. Amara maybe have red carpet, so look grand for march in.

maybe you can ask to swop ur beer for free flow of wine or at least 1 bottle of wine per table. is really hard. just like my case when i heard there is free flow of wine and beer in later BOWS, just 2 mths after i signed package..

huh red carpet? it is not provided for in amara, but id rather not have red carpark, so traditional like restaurants.. dry ice effect nicer i think? but i feel its subject to couple's preference.

Well yeah ive got free flow and one bottle wine from wedding show, dont need free flow wine cos as much as a person can drink wine so good, give them 3 bottles they lie flat already..

ah is there anyway to ask for it even after 2 months u signed the package? will they be able to give it to you? can try :D cos it will be good to have both free flow

i thought if long march plus military style, it look good with red carpet which my fren did for her wedding in novotel military style recently.

wine is very imp cos nowsaday, ppl drink wine more than beer, esp on weekday when the next day there is no work. mine is on wkend..
My fren's wedding in grand hyatt last year, even though on mon, the guests ending up drinking more wine than allocated and they have fork extra $$ cos hotel wine not cheap...is really unpredicted. ofcos there are wedding i attend where the waitress will tell u no more wine, so a way to manage the wine allocation and politely inform the guest. Maybe that where ur bro and sis play important role.


so likely i may buy additional wine from outside to buffer. my requests for free wine was not successful i only 2 barrels of wine and 1 wine per table.

Amara hotel actually offered $20 nett per bottle of wine. is this price considered okay or are there better offers?

yah pretty cheap, carlton is charging S$25++ per bottle.. so ex... will get wines from hotel if finished, no point getting from outside cos must have a certain minimum then can arrange for free delivery, if got no minimum can you imagine you have to bring in the wines yourself... i also dont think i can finish the 1 bottle wine per table offered, cos my guests all beer drinkers...

is the food good? im still looking at hotel with per table less than 1k on weekends? personally like Corpthorne king tien court very much..

went for my friend wedding, not too bad, but the portion is huge! and babe dont think you can find below 1k for wedding banquet on weekends already.. :) prices are increasing so drastically nowadays, how scary.

When is your wedding?maybe you can also try Furama Riverfront/City Centre ,Riverview Hotel, think may be still offering within 1k for 2012 wkend, but 2012 date are hot and alot gd dates fully booked, so better action fast.

not sure about the yam paste, but the chempilak( or jackfruit) creme brulee is to die for!! Would definitely change the dessert to this if i have the budget. :)
