My fiancee and I just returned from a wonderful experience of having our pre-wedding photos taken in Taipei. As it was such a great and enjoyable experience, we would like to share it with all of you!
We signed up this photography package with Franceparis 台北法国巴黎, quite a reputable bridal studio located at the heart of Taipei City, in Singapore way back in 2013 when they were having a roadshow here. At the roadshow, they had told us that they have more than 500 white and evening gowns for us to choose from. This promise of more than 500 gowns to choose from sounds really attractive to us as this means we could most probably find at least a few gowns that we really like!
Another aspect that we like about Franceparis is their dedicated service. After signing a package with them, they would actually assign a staff to each couple and throughout the period from the package is signed to the day you fly over for the shoot, you can direct any query to this person, inform him/her of your plans and he/she will advise you accordingly on what to bring for the shoot etc. We corresponded quite a number of times asking about the weather, the flower season and the dates available etc and the person was always prompt in replying to our emails.
So in February this year, we flew over to Taipei for the shoot. When we reached their shop, we were attended to immediately and then asked to proceed down to the basement level and we were in awe to find one whole basement of bridal and evening gowns! They really lived up to their promise of having more than 500 gowns! They have this gown specialist lady who would advise the bride on the selection of gowns that they have and they would then ask the bride to choose a few white gowns and a few evening gowns. After which, the gown specialist would choose more gowns for the bride to try on. Though my fiancee tried many gowns, the gown specialist was extremely patient and cheerful throughout the whole process and we really appreciated that as it gave us ample time to consider the many choices.
The next day was the photo shoot. We had our make-up done by Monica which we thought was very professional! We were really glad that we had paid extra (5000TWD) for her to tag along on the trip as she will do up 5 different hairstyles for the 5 gowns that we have chosen. Our personal recommendation for photographer is 愷哥. He is very experienced and professional and takes really nice pictures! If you have no experience at all in posing for a photo, he will guide you with very detailed instructions on where to look and where to put your hands and legs. He would also tell you jokes along the way to make you smile. And his assistant 禮安 is very responsible and attentive to our needs so we really felt pampered and being taken care of throughout the photo shoot.
Eventually, the photos turned out very nicely and we are very satisfied with the overall experience! So we want to strongly recommend this bridal shop if you are considering to go to Taiwan for your pre-wedding photo shoot.
